Well, you can expect every Braves hitter to be swinging for the fences now, which is not what they need.
EDIT: Maybe not. A walk is a good start, need more baserunners.
I'm sure the 80s Mets scored a bunch.Has any team ever had every single one of its players score in the 1st inning?
They need the biggest comeback in postseason history.Well, you can expect every Braves hitter to be swinging for the fences now, which is not what they need.

Ladies and gentlemen
I will now engage in the ceremonial lighting of the penis
:(
Gives me flashbacks of Glavine completely shitting the bed and giving up 7 runs in the 1st inning against the Marlins in a must-win game on the final day of the 2007 season.
And they won't get it with solo shots!
Exactly where my mind went.Gives me flashbacks of Glavine completely shitting the bed and giving up 7 runs in the 1st inning against the Marlins in a must-win game on the final day of the 2007 season.
Rooting for the dodgers really wouldn't be much better.Having to root for the Cardinals in the inevitable WS against the Yankees is truly the darkest timeline
why root for them?Having to root for the Cardinals in the inevitable WS against the Yankees is truly the darkest timeline
Because obviously the right choice is to always root against the yankees.
There's no way that applies to postseason games, right? They'd just pick up where they left off, I'd think.Braves announcers literally talking about the possibility of it raining and causing them to re-play the game tomorrow lol
never! join da darkside!Because obviously the right choice is to always root against the yankees.
why am I not seeing any links???Braves announcers literally talking about the possibility of it raining and causing them to re-play the game tomorrow lol
Basically if it got rained out for the rest of the day before the 5th inning... Rainout rule 2: https://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/RainoutThere's no way that applies to postseason games, right? They'd just pick up where they left off, I'd think.
A rainout can also occur after the game has started; at this point the game is "called". If conditions, improve, the game is resumed as soon as conditions permit and played until its conclusion; this is also called a rain delay. If the game cannot be resumed, the following rules apply:
- A game is considered to be a regulation game (also called an "official game") if 4½ innings have been played and the home team is leading, or if 5 innings have been played. If a rainout prevents the completion of a game that has become a regulation game, the result stands, and the remaining portion of the game is not played.
- If the game is not yet a regulation game, it is considered not to have started; all statistics are wiped out and the game is replayed in its entirety.
- If the game is a regulation game but the score is tied when called, or if the visiting team has taken the lead in its last-half inning at bat and the home team has not had a chance to complete its own turn at bat, the game is a suspended game and is resumed at a later date.
- If a suspended game cannot be resumed because of the end of the season, the result is allowed to stand, either as a tie or as a win for the visiting team.
The power of teamwork and friendship shall defeat the yankees before this season is over. I believe in the heart of the ball. :P
