Sad to hear about Mirko. He's my all time favorite fighter and the one that got me into MMA to begin with. I'm glad he's at least making the smart decision to stop right away and going out on a nice string of wins.
Tonight's card is going to be amazing. First time I've been excited for an event in a while.
Jones x Smith - Everyone expecting an inevitable dominant win by Pico but I think Smith will surprise a lot of people and give Jon a tough 4-5 round fight.
Woodley x Usman - I love how they give all these boring fighters (Maia, Usman, Wonderboy, etc) to Woodley and them blame him for having boring fights. Usman may be a good wrestler but he has shown nothing to me that says he'll beat Woodley tonight. I see a 5 round decision asserting Woodley's dominance at WW.
Lawler x Askren - I can see Lawler giving Askren some trouble in the early rounds but this will ultimately end with Askren blanketing Lawler enough to walk away with the win if he doesn't submit by the 2nd.
Cody x Munhoz - Haven't seen many Munhoz fights but I'm rooting for Cody here. He needs the win badly to get back in the good graces of fans and to remain a viable contender.
Zabit x Stephens - Stephens is as tough as they come but he matches up pretty terribly stylistically with Zabit. Maybe a body kick KO is in the future.
Gall x Diego - Gall probably gets a submission win here but seeing Diego wallop him into living death would be pretty amazing.

Yeah Lawler looked frightening. I really like Askren's attitude and trash talk though so I'd be a bit sad to see him lose.
My gut is telling me Lawler knocks out Askren relatively quickly, but my brain says no. Very curious about that fight.
I still remember Askren struggling with Heiron. I won't be surprised if Askren struggles with Lawler too.
