If I where a virgin woman I would not care what it is (emancipation etc.), I would sell "it" for 2.5mill € in an instant.
You aren't the one setting the price though. What if the highest offer is way below $2.5 million? If I where a virgin woman I would not care what it is (emancipation etc.), I would sell "it" for 2.5mill € in an instant.
Why would you pay money for this? Why would you desire this, specifically?
Valuing virginity is one of the silliest aspects of our culture. Who the hell values lack of experience and skill in partners?
I'm not sure there's anything I wouldn't do for that kind of money.
For €2.5m?
Ok so there's one thing I definitely wouldn't do for that kind of money.
It's a life changing amount for a few mins of 'work'
I can't really speak to the emancipation of selling a virginity, but if someone is willing to pay her that much money for having awkward, potentially bloody sex that isn't all that great, more power to her.
This moment defines you, and not to mention it might psychologically fuck you up if the guy you're having sex with is a real creep who'll make sure that you'll regret every moment of the sex throughout your entire life, there are people out there who only find joy in degrading escorts before, during and after the sex so that they could leave mental scars on the people who do this sort of work as a way of earning their living.Nah, it's called a hustle. Sis is making her money and gaming the system. Sounds like working smarter, not harder. Nothing is sad about this.
I don't blame her for taking a great deal. (I'd take it too.)
I do question a global society where wealth inequality exists to such a great extent that rich guys have an extra $3 million to causally throw around buying up young women's virginity.

Her choice.
I don't like the idea, but who gives a shit what kinggroin on the Resetera forum thinks.
I find it kind of odd how so many of you have absolutely no issue with the concept of this. I mean, on the woman's part, yeah, she's just gaming the system she's in so she can't be faulted for it. But that doesn't change the fact that this whole thing feeds right back into the treatment and objectification of women in societies. In a time where we get new threads nearly every day about another high profile sexual assault or harassment, and a near-50 page thread on the gaming side about objectification of women in games, most of us here realize how absolutely fucked women get viewed by the world, it's weird to see so many just type "no problem with this" and leave it at that. You aren't looking at the big picture, I feel. Sure, the woman is doing what she chose to do with her own body, but that alone doesn't negate the fact that the "auctioning off" of virginity is a disgusting practice that feeds right into patriarchy.

She could be set for life for 10 minutes of unpleasantness. Not bad at all. I'd sell my cornhole for much less.

It's an awful thing to go through if it's with the wrong guy.
For me, prostitution will always be a kind of sexual assault, you just bypass the will of someone with your money.
In 99 % of cases, it's more obvious than that since it's made for survival, in very critical situation (most prostitutes in western countries are basically enslaved).
No, were not looking at the big picture. We're putting ourselves in her shoes. She won't accomplish anything by not taking part in this. She has a ton to gain and nothing(virginity) to lose.
If men allow themselves to be suckered out of their money then so be it. It's not up to people like her or most of us to make a stand while losing so much.
Personally to me this is more about people holding virginity up like it's something special. It's not and that's what I personally have against it. If you value your virginity or others' so much then you're already lost. You're the issue.
You get rid of that way of thinking then this "problem" ceases to exist.
Even if people here do have an issue with this, here's some food for thought: Men in high places don't really seem to put much value on women, or their sexuality. You're quite right in suggesting that objectification continues to happen at an alarming rate, but what's interest about this article and others I've seen like it is that 1) As you say, it is happening on the woman's terms, 2) It has actual value associated with it -- that is, something that powerful men do see as valuable, which is cash in large quantity, is being used to "buy" something of value instead of *take* it by way of "entitlement", which many men in power seem to think they are owed, and 3) It objectifies the state of virginity -- the thing -- but may in fact not be objectifying *her.*
Most men take virginity away for the low cost of 0 dollars. Most men think nothing about it, other than inflating their own ego. In this situation, no matter how you may want to slice it, the woman is at the advantage; she calls the shots about what she is selling. We can disagree with the morality of it, but I don't really see how she is being taken advantage of here.
I think you're taking this too seriously. We're relatively short-lived mammals on a tiny planet in the middle of nowhere. Kids are starving right now because they were born in some random place. People are suffering right now because they were born with some random skin color. The most powerful country in the world is currently ruled by a fat orange baby who has surrounded himself with black-hearted opportunists and hopeless morons. On the one hand. Good for her to get all that money. On the other. What a horrible species we are. One for men to value this and Two for women perpetrating it. Now it's not her fault she is inside the system that values it but it's sad either way. Why not go full on - 2.9 mill for vaginal intercourse, 3.9 for anal and then another mill for oral. 500,000 for tongue when kissing. Be as well just label every part of her and sell her off to whoever wants what. Leg, arm, foot etc. I am sickened daily by humanity - still I hope she enjoys her money. What a story that is to tell your kids. She is free to do whatever she wants with her body. He is free to spend his money in anyway he wants if others agree to it. I am free to be sickened by humans.
