I skipped Generations on the 3DS because playing 4 on 3DS was super disappointing after 3U on Wii U. I'm in love with World and the QoL improvements make it difficult to want to go back to something like this.
But...I'm so in.

The mounting minigame is much simpler though you cannot do mounting attacks from slopes, only from ledges or, if you choose aerial style, your evasive roll allows you to springboard off of the monster to do aerial attacks that way.
This has separated online and offline quests like 3U
This is the first time this released in the west
You can but monsters are buffed up for four players. Styles actually make Gen a lot easier to solo than 3 or 4 were though imo.Can i play solo on the online side?(without the game getting ultra hard) It has been so long since 3G i cant remember : P
You can but the monsters will still be scaled for multiple people. Can i play solo on the online side?(without the game getting ultra hard) It has been so long since 3G i cant remember : P
Not at all, its portable and has a shit ton of content. I still have yet to play World since I'm just not around my PS4 that often nowadays.
I just want the big four from Generations in World. And Shagaru Magala.MHW players who just started on MH.
Please, if you see a monster you like on GU, beg the hell out of Capcom so they can introduce it to World, not on this forum, on twitter, or facebook, they are listening. They promised they will get most of the iconics on World so we might get Brachydios, Zinogre, Tigrex, Narga, Rajang, Barioth, Gigginox, Jhen Mohran, etc.
It will be hard, but totally doable. Don't think of it as the crazy disparity of solo health to multiplayer health in world though. On average the difference between a solo quest and multiplayer quest in terms of health are about 50-70% more hp whereas in world the difference is somewhere around 120-160% more. There are some endgame intended monsters like hyper and deviants that are known for having lots of HP though, so those will probably be challenging to get used to for sure. Can i play solo on the online side?(without the game getting ultra hard) It has been so long since 3G i cant remember : P

I have to agree with Ladioss on this one, although i really enjoyed MHWorld, i was kinda shocked at the time it took me to get to the end of the game.5th gen is just getting started man
XX should buy us some time :p
So another 3ds version that doesn't get translated... I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
That's not truly fair to say, seeing as Generations is a "Best Of" title, and has G-Rank.
World is a good base, but it only lacks because prior games (4, 4U, Gen, GenU) were able to build on the "base" that Tri started. World is another soft-ish reboot, so we're back to how Tri was and how it seemed light compared to even its direct predecessor. That would begin to get fixed with an interesting G-Rank setup.
Well, fans just might use the switch script on the 3ds version I guess. But pubs would be all just Japanese players, that's why it is shitty.3DS software is bombing left and right ever since the Switch appeared on the market so I don't really blame them.
A 3DS late port that Japan disliked and they held hostage for Nintendo owners because of a newer game on literally all other platforms? They can keep it.
It will be kinda sad to see this crap doing well, but I guess this is the industry.
Would it be possible to play local or online with someone who has the Generations game on 3DS?No, it's locked at 30fps, because the Switch version shares the same playerbase as the 3DS version for online play.
No idea how it's gonna work here now, though. Are non-JP players in a different server now?
Keep in mind the game had already released on 3DS the year prior, so its not surprising the port to the brand new console that had extreme stock shortages in Japan didn't sell big numbers. Capcom said it met their sales goals iirc.Nah, it didn't even break 500k copies sold in Japan, which is Monster Hunter's biggest market.
Could the non QOL changes from World effect the game negatively those who barely played the originals?

I know base Generations/X had hub sclaed for closer to 2 players and it feels like it since I'm playing it right now. I'd assume Generations Ultimate/XX would keep this level of scaling for g rank? You can but monsters are buffed up for four players. Styles actually make Gen a lot easier to solo than 3 or 4 were though imo.

Same could be said for the West, we got MHG for the 3DS just last year.
