It could simply be because Capcom implemented its own online account saves, no need to panic yet. Some online games do this.

Please change this Capcom.
You support cloud saves on World.
Why is this different?

Like for real getting a Switch Lite as an extra console when on the road has just been terrible experience. Pretty much pointless.

I MUCH prefer the Lite for handheld play... but the 20% of the time I'm home I'd much rather play on the TV for obvious reasons on my regular Switch.

ALSO - I imagine this wipes away any chance of me getting to replay it on a rumored Switch Pro or whatever.

You can still transfer your save locally just not via the cloud, or capcom will have their own system implemented.

Not this shit again. World has cloud storage on Steam and presumably on consoles. So why?

This actually lends credence to the theory that this isn't an exclusive. Capcom have used their own proprietary apps in the past for cross saves between 3DS and the WiiU/Switch versions of games. Seeing as how there isn't another Nintendo platform this time around this could mean cross save support between different console/PC versions of the game.

Eh... I will not buy it then. And I fucking love MHW. Not being able to manually backup save games on the Switch is the dumbest shit ever. I keep backups of all my important PS4 saves, including MHW, on my FTP + HD.

Why, Capcom?

Not a deal-breaker for me, but what even is the point of having Cloud Save on NSO when most of the games that you'd actually want to secure your progression in don't support it? (Pokemon, Splatoon, Animal Crossing...)

It speficially states that cloud save isn't supported, that doesn't happen every time.

Also every international Nintendo site states the same.

It does happen all the time before games release though. Tokyo Mirage Sessions' page said it didn't support cloud saves even after it released even though it did.

That's not to say that it might not be the case here, but I'd say it's unlikely that it doesn't support cloud saves.

Noticing a pattern here. The biggest games in Japan don't support cloud saves. Pokémon, Splatoon, Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter. Hmm.

It's just so weird that these are the hills game companies die on. How hard is it to have a place where saves can be backed up or uploaded? How much data can there really be?
