Yes. That's the definition of hyperbole.I only said it run 'quite badly' and it's a hypebole? Sure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sure. Let's say that it runs fine as you said. I'm so sorry I said 'it runs quite badly'.
They are just following SE example of Nier Automata PC in asian region. Blame SE :(Is Capcom crazy? How the hell is this late port with what looks like terrible optimization cost more than PS4 version at launch?
FYI in my country Steam regular version cost S$85 (equivalent US$62.76), deluxe version S$97.76 (equivalent US$72.18).
PS4 version at launch can be gotten for like S$67 (equivalent US$49.47).
Currently PS4 version is selling at S$40.90 (equivalent US$30.20).
Seems like it's an easy skip for me lol.
Bloodborne doesn't run fine though.Yes, that is exactly what it means. I own the game, I've got hundreds of hours in the game, you're acting like it runs like fucking Goldeneye or something. It runs about as well as every 30 fps console game does. That's like saying Bloodbourne which has similar issues doesn't run fine. No, it doesn't run flawlessly, nor could it not run better (it obviously could), but it is absolutely 'fine' ffs.
Nier Automata is a full $60 game on my region, but MH World is $35.They are just following SE example of Nier Automata PC in asian region. Blame SE :(
Stop with the hyperbole!Bloodborne and Monster Hunter both easily fall under the "bad performance" category on base consoles.
So with a 1080 TI, I should be able to run this at least 60 at 1440p, right?
Nier Automata is a full $60 game on my region, but MH World is $35.
When it comes to regional pricing, it's always been hit and miss. Sometimes you got lucky, sometimes you don't.
Stop with the hyperbole!
Not sure I am. There's a reason why the recommended specs are for 30 fps @1080p. It looks like you're going to need a 1080Ti to run this game at 60 fps. Maybe a GTX 1080 will get close.

PC is my preferred platform, but I did pick up MHW for my PS4 Pro because I wanted to play it right away. It's an amazing game. It's coming to PC not too far after the console release.
I see from this thread that Capcom probably shouldn't have bothered with a PC version at all. The amount of baseless whining in this thread is simply pathetic. It's like most people here, who are complaining about pricing, are unfamiliar with sites like cdkeys and GMG. I personally can't remember the last time I bought a PC game directly on Steam at the inflated list price. I've literally experienced more measured and mature behaviour from a bunch of kids in first grade.

Port. That's the key word here. They (Capcom) have said it has parity to consoles bar 4k/60fps which is in no way worth the extra wait time and higher price tag. That ain't whining, that's pointing out clear lack of care by Capcom and to get as much from double dippers as possible. So this is our first major Monster Hunter release on PC and people are whining it's full price?
No wonder PC lacks ports of so many games.
Ah yes, the "don't criticise because you can get it at cd key sites!" argument that gets trotted out for defending high prices and lack of really anything for an 8 month delay. Please, that is in no way a reason to excuse high prices and just shows how inflated those costs actually are.PC is my preferred platform, but I did pick up MHW for my PS4 Pro because I wanted to play it right away. Yeah, it's pretty annoying to play through the story with friends. Basically you have to have seen the cutscene of a story quest before your friends can join you for whatever silly reason. Other, regular gameplay is fine. How hard is it to play with friends? I've heard some weird things about MP in this game, and I'm less interested in getting it if I can't play with friends relatively easily.
Oh, please, enlight me.
Do you know what the high setting entails ? How does it compare with the console version ?
There's a resolution scale setting btw. Can you tell me what "High" in the resolution scale setting means ? :)
Enlight me about how these specs only gets you 1080p@30fps.
Sure, they're recommending 1080p with x4 supersampling. "We said 1080p but we lied! It's 4K!!" ;) C'mon now.
I would say wait for reviews or the DF analysis, and don't preorder.
Does it?So this is our first major Monster Hunter release on PC and people are whining it's full price?

I play on a Pro NOW. Read my post again. I played on a regular PS4 until like, a month ago.
Maybe not now, but the 6 month headstart sure was nice.Looks like no reason to buy the game on either Xbox One or PS4 now.
Ah, the good old dismissal of any criticism as whining...I, for one, am super excited to play this game. You guys feel free to continuing whining though.
The criticism is more about the content and features of the port rather than the specs that are asked. To be fair, some criticism isnt fair here. About pricing and delay ? Definitely.
About port quality based on system specs, nah.
The criticism is more about the content and features of the port rather than the specs that are asked.
Content is fair criticism, features of the port isn't when we have not really seen much. The criticism is more about the content and features of the port rather than the specs that are asked.
And we don't even know what "High" settings actually are.Where is this narrative about bad optimization coming from? Seems like most people aren't aware that GTX1060 3GB isn't the same as GTX1060 6GB. And I'm not talking just about VRAM difference, number of CUDA cores is different as well 1152 vs 1280. Nvidia is partly to blame for confusion in making people think all 1060s are equal.
Those requirements are not innacurate, based on what I tried from the demo, my GTX 1060 couldn't run at a stable 1080p60 with gameworks features disabled, so a stable 1080p30 is all they can guarantee. Here's the recommended specs for Final Fantasy XV.
Tl;dr - it means nothing.
