Yeah, there's not. I mistook the Claire and Leon armors as layored when I was flipping through the info.
It has to be available. We are in the middle of a Fest. It's a HR (level 6) Challenge, the second kind of quests in the left counter of the gathering hall. The second line of the third page out of four.
There is something perverse about a Kushala Daora investigation netting me more Large Elder Dragon Gems than Fellwings. Not that I needed more than one Fellwing to finally upgrade the Dragonproof Mantle, but 3 Gems is a bit generous!

misclicked on radial menu or was hunting none elder dragons for hours on end and just forgot
HR and MR is just time invested, it's not skill. you could kill great jagras only and get to that rank
Just this evening while helping someone on their first Teostra (it was the assignment) I placed a trap by mistake because I thought I was on another wheel and clicked on autopilot.
They must have thought I'm dumb. :)
Is there a way to just run around with the raider ride thing manually without tracking? I swear I was doing it before, but I can't seem to do it now.
I thought it was accident too (I did it myself several times). But the second trap is pitfall and he clearly set it right below Namielle lol.
If you don't set a target it'll just kinda wander around looking for monster tracks but no, you can't manually control where it goes.
So, I know that for Switch Axe the application is a sort of "evasive attack" from Wild Swing combo, and with Lance, you can basically turn yourself into a shielded turret, but I'm not familiar with Charge Blade so I had to go and "lab it" in training area, since I'm also curious of the nitty gritty.
If none of this is new to you with CB slinger burst, then your guess for ideal use is as good as mine:
1) The slinger burst, and following Dash Slam, or Elemental Discharge II, can seemingly be targeted in any direction regardless of the move that came before. It seems to be by far the fastest way to turn up to 180 degrees in axe mode and attack accurately in the new direction.
2) Most monster-dropped slinger ammo are guaranteed flinches, and even stone/redpit have some chance to flinch since those have KO damage (better with impact phial setup?). So in axe mode, when dealing with a particularly agile or raging monster and you have the monster ammo, you can attack -> slinger burst flinch -> dash slam/ed2 -> slinger burst flinch -> dash slam/ed2 -> slinger burst flinch -> dash slam/ed2
3) This is a combination of the previous two points. There are a lot of monsters who do repeated charge attacks or otherwise hop around (diablos, tigrex, rathian, odogaron, etc.), and the 360 degree flinch on demand from monster ammo can sometimes protect you in your less mobile state better than a dodge might.

Honestly, just do the event to make guild palace. They're a good elementless set. You really want to focus on element with dual blades but you kinda need some form of crit element for that to be worthwhile and you can't get that until Velkhana.
So question. It seems that you can get some stuff from past festivals during this festival. I kinda want to get some joyful tickets and vip joyful tickets. Are they possible to get right now?
Man shoutout to the absolute beast of a team I just spent a couple of hours in the guiding lands with, Hazza, Yoona and Brobii. Barely a minute without a wall slam, down or materials raining out of anything in our way.
Also loving Gunlance since I switched to try it. It's not massively complex, but the bread and butter is fun and it has some nice big hitters.

So the Velkhana swords are good? I've beaten that monster, was talking about the new Bazel form.
I believe they were talking about the set skill on the velkhana armor. It is called Critical Element.
base and variant don't give the same mantles. And the drop rates are all random. Wear luck gear. Eat for lucky cat and do Investigations with gold rewards for more opportunities.
That's the only thing you can't get. The specific event tickets.
Yes, those are Arch Tempered monsters, the most powerful monsters before Iceborne. Not hard in endgame MT gear.
I think you can just open map while riding it and set waypoint where ever you want it to take you. Be it gathering point, players or even just normal ground. I once used to to travel through gathering points while I was half-afking.

That's surprisingly few silver tickets for 25k fuel, or maybe I just got lucky. I got close to 350 silver tickets out of roughly 56k fuel. The last batch of 6-7 fuel I burned gave 35 silver tickets alone. But I only got a single celestial print out of the 56k fuel.
They're all the same, the only variable is the actual element. I've got about 5 different element Safi Bows since they're all substantial upgrades except for maybe Dragon and Fire, and I'm currently using a Blast element Safi LS. Blast and Poison are the meta for LS from what I've been seeing. Couldn't tell you what the other weapons are like.
Great Sword is super satisfying when you nail that level three charge. I'm slowly branching out to weapons I don't mess with much. Lance/Gunlance are somewhere in the list.

Yeah OG+stuff is fairly common, I think because OG is situational and a new skill so they made sure people could get it more easily. My very first lvl 4 deco in Iceborne was OG+Crit eye and I thought "damn that's some great luck", but then I got a bunch more OG stuff. I got 3 OG+crit eye now which makes the lance builds a lot easier to run.
It's kinda like free elem stuff, there's a lot of very common ones so it's actually easier to build 3 free elem now than it was in vanilla since those were rare as hell. Then again you can also just get 3 on the charm now.
I think I got a single one. It just shows that specifically farming gold tickets and celestial prints from the Steamworks is a rather futile affair.
Yeah that's kinda expected though, but it's really good if you still need old decos since silvers are relatively common in comparison and they reward a ton of good stuff. Especially since getting fuel in guiding lands is really easy and pretty quick(and you get a bunch of other stuff too, guiding mats for augments and the rest you can meld for consumables and what not). Beats doing Jagras/Laviasoth imo.
Forgive the stupid question but is it possible to join the guiding lands expedition of someone in your session or does it require the expedition leader to fire an SOS and opening it to anyone not in the session?
Yes you can simply join, but the "leader" has to be fully loaded into their Guiding Lands before the option pops up.
What's the best use of slots on Safi Dualblades? I currently have a Dragon set up on my non Safi weapon and like it.
Using a mixture seems worse than my weapon I use now. I did see an all element build that helped boost Dragon to 700+ which is double mine but Elderseal is reduced to average (not sure what impact that would realistically have though). But sharpness and affinity would also lose out this way too.

I now have a ton of rarity 12 decos. Handicraft+ is not one of them. Sigh...how many threat lvl 3 monsters must I kill every week. I think I'm up to 50 a week.
GS gets the best boost from a double damage TCS wake-up call. Still, I picked blast since people wake up monsters inefficiently in multiplayer. Either someone is locked in a blade dance and we get a bonus 20 damage or everyone covers they head in bombs so the TCS becomes the second hit (or I get performance anxiety and whiff the TCS or hit with the first part of the move).
Thanks to people for helping with arena quests last night. They are such a pain to do solo so it's good to get those ticked off. My performance was all over the place trying out different weapons. Lance Vs zinogre was particularly awful since my "he's a long way away, time to sheath and heal the chip damage" tactics got me killed a lot as Zinogre picks that moment to leap half the length of the arena and body slam me.

for elemental dual blades you go all in on element up, you can take 1 sharpness or using protective polish with item prolonger so it'll last 90 sec instead of 60.
omg up to 50 per week, I'll lose my sanity doing that lol.
I still haven't got any handicraft 2 or agitator 2 too.
BIB That's probably me. I use IG (I'm 100 hours in and it's the only weapon I've ever held lol) and I've definitely buggered up the waking before now. I tend to stick a couple of megas down at the head and get out of the way. My insects love igniting them prematurely ha. So I just Googled TCS and get what you're saying about blowing the barrels before the actual strike. Where do you want the barrels?
Playing arena made me realize how forgiving the game is normally. I haven't really had the chance to practice Zinogre 1 on 1 since he only appeared in GL at first, and I never had issues against him in groups. But boy did I underestimate his range when it was just me.
Either should be fine. Even one sleep during is great for the wakeup TCS or free wall bang flinch shot.
Thousand Dragons is so much better than Dragon Pierce. If SP did not take so damn long to wind up, it would get much more use from myself. I did think about making a DP build to see but it's such a boring skill to use over and over. TD just fits the flow of Bow combat much more than DP does.
