Is there a way to avoid ruiner nergi roar + spike barrage combo without earplugs or should I just start fitting them in my loadout everytime I fight him?
That attack gets me everytime, I know it's coming whenever he roars but by the time I recover is already too late.
Is a poke + foresight slash fast enough to avoid it, 🤔 haven't tried that yet.
Watch his arms after he roars, he will slam on the side of his raised arm. If he raises them both, he is going straight forward, and if you got hit by the roar, it's gonna be tough to get out of the way in time. A well timed foresight slash would work if you have spirit gauge available, and if you are really practiced you could iframe the spikes or iframe the roar and get out of the way in time.

Yeah, I mean it's still a good bit of grinding, but I have >40 crit boost, >20 capacity boost, 23 bow charge+. I played the base game and Iceborne a shit load, but compared to the 2-3 capacity boost and bow charge+ that I got in my entirety of playing world, I think it's safe to say the rates for these are considerably better now even though I don't have the actual numbers to prove it. Other people I have talked to that have done a lot of tempered investigation grinding report the same.

Still the issue remains that if you are the kind of player that moves on after reaching endgame, you probably won't see very many of the rare and powerful decorations. They have a pretty low drop rate from anything that isn't a tempered investigation. Definitely one of the sour spots especially since Iceborne's sets seem to rely heavily on powerful decorations.
What is your current MR and current hours? I've only seen 2 crit boosts (both from elder melder) and I have 300 hours (180 in Iceborne) and MR 165 and HR 210. I do nothing but grinding lands and tempered investigations for decos.

~800 hours, mr 403, hr 700 or 800 something I think. Not sure what my split is for Iceborne/base game but I think I was around hr 430 before iceborne came out.

Oh, I thought he always did it straight forward, gonna have to pay more attention from now on, also I tried iframing it but I'm really terrible at it so that doesn't work most of them time.

I got a sizable chunk of decos from all of the tempered ED and threat 2 monsters that I fought for crowns (wanted to kill two birds with one stone) and the rest I got from Greatest Jagras and Lavasioth. Both of them should be back in the Winter, and hopefully we'll get a MR version for level 4 decos.

330hs (even), 110HR 81MR, one Lvl4 Health/CritBoost. No idea how I got it but it wasn't so long ago (obviously Iceborne).

That doesn't sound right, I went from level 4 to level 6.1/2 yesterday in like an hour or so, I don't remember exactly how many monsters we fought but I do remember a tempered legiana and tempered odogaron giving me more than half bar.

Does anyone have a tempered kirin and/or tempered Black diablos they could summon? I would be very grateful and happy to help hunt anything you need before or after. PS4

Picking up their tracks and breaking off parts got me their investigations.
I will try that then. I already attempted it with Goldian, but that only unlocked Coral Highlands investigations for some reason. Like she was a Pink Rathian or something.

Maybe I also could try and stalk some Volcanic region monster for their tracks. I'm willing to try anyhing at this point.

I think stun res is a lot more useful than recovery up/tool specialist. I usually just put tool specialist in my mantles if they have a lv1 slot.
Stun res is almost mandatory imo. I only leave home without it if my palico uses the Coral Orchestra and even then it's kind of a gamble ("Here's a paralyze resist tune, Meowster!" when I'm stunned against a monster that can't paralyze). Recovery Up is just a nice bonus but actually fairly easy to get through either the Shara helmet or the Blackveil Vaal arms, both of which have good slots.

I actually only use Tool Specialist in my gathering build so the Ghilly Mantle doesn't have such a long cooldown.

Oh my god LUNESTRA IS TRASH. Like what do you do about that fluctuating fire pulse bomb shit.
Weep.

Wind Resist (I think level 5) or Farcaster. The former helps you heal between the two big blasts. The latter is the safest option, although I personally think it isn't all that practical since she does it once every minute and might actually do it immediately when you return from the camp you just farcasted to.

Wow I thought that backpack Poogie or Dodogama Poogie were the cutest thing in this game and out of nowhere came the Palico Ruiner Nergigante armor set to take the lead.

Gosh - I wish I could play this online - I bet it would tons of fun.( trying to save)
I had not opened up my mhw copy since 2018 christmas and now I'm hooked to this game.

Little did I know how good that guardian armor was as a free gift - it had a 50 def on it - so for a beginner that was actually quite good.

To bad I never actually used it because I didn't like the look - lol

Welp this is true. A lone Tzizi gave me the same exp as 4 Elders. GL is so fucking weird...

try hunting monsters that is unique on specific locale.

sample :

tzizi = coral
great girros = rotted
lavashit = volcanic area
tobi = forest

i think GL gives more exp when hunting monster that you can find only on that locale.

Its based on my own experience so you can forget what i said. :D

Yeah it's the little mole endemic life. From what I've seen they come in color variations for each zone. I only have the "standard" one sadly.
Yep. There's a rare version for each zone that can spawn after you get the zone to level 5 or higher. I have the ones for Wildspire, Coral, and Volcanic.

Leveling up tailraiders to start Pawswapping sucks so much.

Stop giving me player's Palicos game! You might as well just say that the signal failed for all the good it does!

The official, indisputable tier list.

This is based solely on how fun they are to fight, not on how cool they look or their designs (otherwise Namielle would be S-tier, for example).

Replace brachydios and velkhana with teostra and ruiner (or even regular) nergigante and we may have something going there.

Ah my bad lol.

I was also playing around with sets and you can actually upgrade this to fit Divine Blessing 5 instead for max comfort.

That's pretty cool. Unfortunately I am missing the Challenger/Vitality Deco, so I had to build it differently, but it should work almost the same. My set just has 1 additional crit eye in exchange for 2 latent power.

Gahhhh. Joined a rank 7 Corel, helped them kill sil Los. A tempered kirin spawned which is all I was after for hours, immediately despawned to a namille.

Ugh

Tempered Namielle is no joke when she hits 5% or so health. Was slightly underwhelmed when I solo'd her in story mode, but her tempered version is wonderful.

Tempered Rajang's damage is insane. You can strait up die from chip when you're using the standard max guard Zin HBG, and that's when you don't try and tank the super move. It's got Guard 5 and 3 Shield mods! You literally can't reduce chip anymore and it still eats through your health like it's nothing.

Yup, surprised more people aren't talking about tempered rajang.
Fighting him solo is a DRASTICALLY different experience than in a group.

Fighting him solo is Lunastra, Kushala, Black Diablos, Kirin tier
In a group though...much easier than the above.

Yes I feel the same, just yesterday I crafted a Gyura armor set and I am in love with it because it looks so rad.

Last night we were doing a Seething Bazelgeuse investigation, and we were constantly being mobbed by Fulgur Anjanath and Savage Deviljho. We didn't bother dunging either one, and just fought Seething around them. It was a total nightmare quest, but it ended up being the most fun we've had in the game so far.

anyone else made their rooms public ? do other players enter your domain when you are there etc?
Qek9New.png
Yup, people can come in when you're there, and you can hang out together. Once public, you can't change your endemic life or rearrange your room, so you will have to switch back to private to change anything.

I'm having a hard time getting Celestial Wyverian Prints from Steamworks lately, it's just bad luck or is there some timed magic working on since the last time I got one? Should I keep trying or is only one per a fixed amount of time?

After countless of hours in the GL and temp elders investigations i finally completed all optional quests around MR 244.
We run this town is such a nice and fun quest.
You get the research commision ticket+ for doing it and its actually lots of fun fighting tigrex, nargacuga, Zinogre, Brachydios and Glavenus back to back in such a short time.
Beats the all optional quest from World vanilla hands down for me.

Just throwing it out there, I really hate getting a tail cut just to carve a shard or cortex instead of ya know, a tail?
