It's gonna be the E3 build so standalone. No game purchase required to play as well.

Honestly I would really like to love this series. Capcom has so much good will from me as an RE, Mega Man, and DMC fan now that it's not even funny. It's obvious how much care they put into Monster Hunter.

If I am remembering correctly from the original beta, the time constraints are pretty tight to complete the hunts - moreso than the actual game. I suppose we can stake out other monsters to try them (e.g. beotodus) and simply fail the quests. I wonder if there will be others out there like the potentially leaked monster to explore. It's clear we didn't see the whole map during the E3 streams.

I assume the story goes from high rank to Master rank like the original story mode, so maybe we will be blessed and get both, with sub species relegated to master.

That the 24th is the nativity of Saint John and a public holiday in Catalonia means I'll get some extra time to try this out which is nice.
Gonna try it to taste g rank version of world, I know I will be disappointed but at least fighting tigrex again would be fun. Too bad they released it at the same time with CTR release date, since I'm gonna be more focused with that game than a beta.
Most Xbox players right now are just glad they aren't playing on PC.
I'm just talking about how the PS4 and XBO versions come out in September while the Steam version is slated for a nebulous "Winter" date.

Since the PS trailer seems to include Great Jagras footage, how likely is it that there might be an Ancient Fores quest where Narga might spawn sometimes like Pukei did in the previous beta?
