Motherboard: RDR2 Players Are Excited to Attack and Kill Feminists in the Game [update: re-instated]

Youtubes algorithm seems to be based around commonality. It "polls" a selection of vids to users of a certain base (lets say the topic is RDR2), and identifies which ones led to the most clicks within the group and thus recommends it some more. I also don't think the groups are set either: if there's a subset of RDR2 viewers that are fans of lets say hunting in video games, then it my recommend popular RDR2 hunting videos to that subset.
Basically, technically the algorithm isn't at fault: the vid is getting lots of clicks from each "poll" results in it spreading. I believe viewer time is also taken into account now.
I should say, I could be wrong in how it works as I haven't seen the actual algorithm, I don't believe they've made it public.
Just in case anyone was confused on if the people who campaigned for Shirrako to be reinstated are misogynistic or "believers of free speech".

I do take issue with algorithm. But the algorithm didn't make the video, nor did it write and post the article promoting said video. Both of those things were done by humans.

Oh that's the dude.. I remember that fucking S logo, his vids showed up on my youtube with titles like "feeding a crocodile with a feminist". I also saw one of his clips featured on a "try not to laugh" RDR2 compilation where he just threw a molotov at her.
Honestly fuck the gaming outlets that reported this. It's sensationalist, doesn't fucking matter in a game where you can slap the shit out of everyone and now people who otherwise wouldn't of given two shits are now doing it to 'trigger' people.

You're right about wanting to *emulate* being an outlaw cowboy. But I don't have a predisposition to actually being a cowboy and committing crimes, do I? People don't play games strictly because they *want* to do those things *in real life*. Nobody played Burnout because they *wanted* to create a huge pileup crash in real life.

It works the same way with consuming content. Some movies (like Saw or Hostel) can be called "torture porn". There are people that like those movies. Are they fucked up in the head? I mean, like anything, there are radicals that take it to the extreme (aka naked white women with body liberation messages written on their breasts in red lipstick). See that's where you're wrong. The algorithm doesn't distinguish. It says "Oh you watched a RDR2 video, you probably want this video about killing feminists, just like you want videos of the ending."

Man, I must hang out with some of the most boring feminists ever. The worst they've done is engage in a series of lengthy, pleasant conversations with me where they explained to me their perspective and in return I actually kind of learnt something extremely valuable.
