why take the time to hunt down the random silly-ass anime image without at least a word or 2 explaining which silly-ass anime you are referring to or why it's relevant

sorry for snark but I sometimes can't believe what other people think is in the zeitgeist
Dude, that's literally the most famous manga villain ever. It's like someone posting the Joker and you being snarky because they didn't say the name.

It's a TV show-turned-comic book, but that Tommy Oliver kid just won't leave the Power Rangers alone.

It’s nice to see the tradition of posting gifs without movie/game titles has persisted, really fantastic /s

The smog monster didn't play any games. Hedorah is one of the toughest fights Godzilla has ever fought, thanks to his acidic body and poisonous gases. This kaiju melted the flesh from Godzilla's very bones.

The subconscious need to signal “true fans” or whatever when people post pics without explanation is a pet peeve of mine, but damn this reaction is hilarious.

Nope. My grandma knows who Joker is, basically everyone does. The same can't be said for a manga villian. Just because this is a gaming site doesn't mean everyone here is also well-versed in manga/anime. It's nowhere near as mainstream as Batman.

My contribution, while not from a movie, is the Lannisters from Game of Thrones. They started fucking shit up right from the very first episode, right up until the end of the latest season. They’re ruthless in their quest for power, and will even put loved ones at risk in order to claim the throne.

The Joker pretty much ruined Batman in TDK. The ending is Bats and Gordon covering up the fact that Joker won.

Well I didn’t know it either and totally agree with the post. You need to think about others outside certain bubbles. Even if just for search purposes, labeling images makes it much easier for future catalogue and discovering later.

Ivan Drago.

He obviously eventually lost and Rocky got Russia to love him. But he broke Rocky so much he was a wreck in the shower after and he went on to make the terrible next film. So the fight left a big mark.

On Rocky and viewers!

Depending on how you see it : Watchmen. At least if you consider Rorschach to be a hero.

Tong Po raped Van Damme's girl and broke his brothers back.

His brother probably had it coming though.

I think dbz villains likely rank higher. Griffin is probably as obscure as Aizen when you really take a step back and assess your manga/anime fandom.

Guess this is more common in revenge premises (Death Wish, The Bride Wore Black, etc.) in which the protagonist isn't exactly a hero.

And before Kill Bill, there was Lady Snowblood.

Antonio Salieri in Amadeus

Honestly a very underrated movie villain, one of my favorites.
