A lot of people do. A big part of Trump's image is how he's a "self-made billionaire". How he goes out of his way to show off his wealth. He's the poor man's idea of a rich man.
So to show he's not worth as much as he claims is going to anger some people.

Nobody going to care. They don't care he's a piece shit and then suddenly they care he's not worth as much?

I mean it's worth a gander for shit and giggles.

There is absolutely nothing Trump can do or be found guilty of that will alienate his base from him. A lower net worth? Doesn't matter. Treasonous ties with Russians? Doesn't matter. They vote for him because he's a racist white supremacists, and that isn't something an investigation can ever do anything about.

Hey dumbass, if it's a potential "nothing burger", why has he spent the last two years hiding it?
He's hiding something big, even if it's something like "he's not an actual billionaire". That alone will damage his ego and hurt some of his base (who believe in him because of the image that he's a billionaire)
Calm down there, bud. No need for name calling. I get that you're upset with the election results. A lot of people are. Take it out on yourself though, not others.

This is important because of the emoluments investigation. Dems are going to shine a light on every bit of corruption in this administration. Whether that affects Trump's base or not is beside the point, and even then it's not like it grows his base.

Just rattling Trump is effective. He really doesn't want to be president, he wants to do rallies and have adulation. It all adds up. Plus, Mueller's half-time break is over. Roger Stone is next.

Trump gonna spin the story around and make it look like a which hunt. Wait and see.

He doesnt play by the ethical (probably not even the legal) books so it won't be a problem for him to do that.

What a weird time we live in, where truth is lie, lie is truth and people will believe whatever they fuck they prefer instead of whatever is the right thing.

let's go! So much work to do:

  • President Trump's tax returns
  • Trump family businesses — and whether they comply with the Constitution's emoluments clause, including the Chinese trademark grant to the Trump Organization
  • Trump's dealings with Russia, including the president's preparation for his meeting with Vladimir Putin
  • The payment to Stephanie Clifford — a.k.a. Stormy Daniels
  • James Comey's firing
  • Trump's firing of U.S. attorneys
  • Trump's proposed transgender ban for the military
  • Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's business dealings
  • White House staff's personal email use
  • Cabinet secretary travel, office expenses, and other misused perks
  • Discussion of classified information at Mar-a-Lago
  • Jared Kushner's ethics law compliance
  • Dismissal of members of the EPA board of scientific counselors
  • The travel ban
  • Family separation policy
  • Hurricane response in Puerto Rico
  • Election security and hacking attempts
  • White House security clearances
source

so much to do....so much work.

so scary to even see this full list.

Although there is more under the rug but lets get these with it!

With Trump now apparently making moves to limit the scope of Mueller's investigation, it seems even more important to me that the House looks into Trump's finances. He clearly doesn't want anyone poking around. Leave no stone unturned!

I don't mean to be rude but this is laughable. The IRS is not going to go after the president. He controls the IRS. Mobsters are not a good comparison for the office of the president (though they may be a good personal comparison for this particular president).

Not laughable whatsoever. It's not going to happen while he's in office, but there's no time limit on going after unpaid taxes. They'll get him when he's out. I'm not proposing it as a solution to the current situation.

Yep. The NYT Times alreadyndi that's big expose on his he got his wealth a few weeks back. Affected nothing. Most people know he's full of shit, born into wealth etc.

But they should come out anyway and there should be a law that tax returns be made public for any federal election candidates. It's information voters should have.

It's funny that after a blue wave there are still people making sure that everyone knows they believe nothing will ever happen.

Everything is a nothing burger, stop caring about stuff because reasons.

To people saying that his base won't care, so why bother: we don't give a shit about what his dumbfuck base thinks. Americans deserve to know why he's been working so hard to keep them hidden for so long. We need to know, period.
