Those flaming hot dill chips aren't right. I was a more of a huge fan of the ones from UTZ until I tried em. To my surprise managed to find the FH ones this past Thursday at Target and picked a bag up not even knowing these were a thing. Tried them and fell in love with them. Come to this Sunday where I go back and literally this was what I encountered.

Only three bags left! Picked two up and walked out feeling pretty good. Hoping they get more in stock though because yeah they're hella good.

I actually like the Beer Cheese a lot, and I usually don't go for alcohol flavored food (and don't like beer).

So my wife found a little 2.5 ounce bag of the Flamin Hot Dill Pickle so I wouldn't feel too guilty. Honestly it was a little disappointing. Mikesell's Spicy Dill Pickle is only a tad less spicy but the dill pickle flavor is much deeper.

I'm still having no luck, I'm wondering if they just haven't made it to my area yet.

Might have to venture out a bit further.

The bags design is great, the reflective purple catches the eye really well, though the font choices could be better matched.

Opening up the bag, you get a pure pickle smell. If you've ever had Lays Dill chips, these smell exactly the same, very sharp vinegar smell. No hint of heat from the smell.

Looking at the chips, they look almost like cheddar and sour cream chips, very pale red, doesn't look like any other Flamin' Hot crisp, which are usually much more red.

OH MAN THIS TASTE. It's closing up my throat in a good way. The first thing you get is the pickle, followed immediately by the heat. The heat takes you by surprise, its almost like the pickle flavor lets the guard down to something more refreshing, but instead its bombarded by Flamin' Hot. It 100% tastes hotter than normal Flamin' Hot, it's very intense.

It's such a nice, sharp burn, and it drops off very quickly, making you want another chip asap. Aftertaste is mostly the tingle of heat and pickle.

This is one of the better combinations of flavors I've ever had, but that is because I do love both Pickle and Flamin' Hot. If you don't like Pickle chips, you probably won't like these, besides the heat they are roughly the same bright pickle flavor you get from the regular Dill Lays.

This is a fucking winner, hot damn.

yeah the flamin pickle is one of the best flavors they've done IMO and that's why it's flying off the shelves

They are honestly incredible

The heat is so intense, and the flavors mix so well

I could see FritoLay either:

A. Keeping this in their back pocket and rereleasing it every now and again
or
B. Making it part of their staple lineup.

Neither would surprise me

So I, like everyone else, really like the flamin hot pickle chips, but I saw these in my supermarket and picked them up and I think I prefer them, though they are very different:

Obviously the biggest difference is that they aren't as hot. But they do have a decent kick to them. On top of that, they are kettle chips which I infinitely prefer to normal potato chips, and they have a deeper pickle flavor. I think this brand might be northeast US only, but if you see them I'd recommend giving them a shot.

Midgar, With Love
Back in like 1870 there was a lot of turmoil in the United States — the Reconstruction, the beginnings of so-called "Redemption," cocaine, whatever

I just remember thinking, "Someday someone's going to chronicle Flamin' Hot adventures on the internet and everything's gonna be alright"

It's been a long road
Getting from there to here
It's been a long time
But my time is finally here

I was at the store today celebrating that the promised era is finally upon us and I picked up a bag of Doritos Flamin' Hot Nachos (TM, All Rights Reserved) in honor of Fat4All

Proudly, I can say that it's a successful venture between Geoff Keighley and tongue-burning red-hot desire

I'll keep y'all posted as my own odyssey continues; I'm considering getting some Flamin' Hot dust from the bottom of a bag of hot fries and rubbing it onto a nice filet mignon this weekend

You have good tastes OP. I'm trying to lose weight so my snacking is very minimal, but those Flamin' Hot Doritos are straight fire. While not the same, maybe try the Ghost Pepper Chex Mix.

Granted my go to snack is Da Bomb Ghost Pepper Peanuts or my absolute favorite: Carolina Reaper Beef Jerky.

I've just purchased another 3 bags of the Flamin' Hot Doritos and I almost ate an entire bag in one sitting. These are heavenly.

With all these new Flamin' Hot successes, and with the Flamin' Hot movie coming soon, I can only imagine there's gonna be more and more Flamin' Hot in store for us all

this odyssey is far from over

I think the Flamin' Hot Dill Pickle is the best Flamin' Hot item. Good Lord, are they amazing. I really hope they stick around for a while.

That reminds me. When I was young, like 8ish, I would eat an entire bag of the small Chester's Flaming Hot Fries. Sometimes two. I remember one day I ate two in a row and my mouth was on fire so I grabbed an ice cube out of the freezer, and it was one of the large ice cube tray ones. Needless to say I made one sudden movement and partially swallowed it, and for about 10-15 seconds I was choking on ice like an idiot.

Totally worth it. Still love those damn things.
