Damn, you're lucky the kitten didn't knock the whole tank off the shelf. I wouldn't put anything valuable or breakable in those sorts of placesYea, I know. We fucked up. The tank was on a high shelf that until about a week ago the kitten wasnt able to reach. Also since we already had a cat that never tried to murder my fish, I guess we didn't really think about it. Lesson learned.
To do it honorably he must adopt a natural predator of cats.
I recommend a boa constrictor.
If the fish tank was a small one, you can repurpose it and turn your kitten into bonsai. Not only are bonsai kittens cute, but they also have limited mobility so any fish you might get in the future are safe without needing to cover the aquarium.

Did the plants jump out too? Pretty obvious who the culprit was.How do you know the cat even got the fish? It would have been eaten if so.
Mine have jumped right out of the fish tank before and my cats just pawed it a few times and stared at it from a distance.
She is so cute! How dare you be upset with her, she can kill anything she wants!!!
Yeah, try birds
Yep, cat did what cats do. I keep my fish tank somewhat elevated, with a cover on it.
Just as I thought. Look at those cold, lifeless eyes...like a doll's eyes.
I like the part where you try to take away the grasshopper and the kitten straight up told you to back down.
Yeah I probably would've gotten rid of the cat after that. You growl at me you're out on your ass.
