That's not a swastika though. It's a hindu sign, which I believe can be found in Word etc, as a standard symbol. A swastika is reversed and tilted. I get why you're shocked though. The form of the symbol is hardly known as anything besides a swastika in the western world, but it isn't one.

Its not just a Hindu sign, you can see it in many places throughout the world.
But yeah, it's not a swastika, although I wonder if that's a error?
Tbh I don't find a nationalist socialist woman's league particularly disturbing.

A few pages on a message board is disproportionate? I imagine if it had the word "Clinton" or "Obama" in it, it'd be a national story on Fox News. "Video games attempting to indoctrinate our kids!".
I don't think it's the amount of responses as much as it is those who would threaten to throw their Xbox in the garbage if they got something like this. That seems a bit excessive, even if the message is offensive to you. Hell, we've had questionable content come through the ads here as well sometimes... it happens.

maybe Sony is right not to allow crossplay to this network

FOR SCIENCE I decided to go check PSN communities

SQqXy97.jpg

At least in positive news the Gay Furry communities are here too

That escalated quickly *request to join*

Nazi isn't blocked on a word filter, but the groups with Nazi in the title are "COD Nazi" related.

Thats my point. If your interested you can make these groups and look for them. They will always exist. Now if they are being recommended to you...well maybe something should be given a second look.

It's cool, PSN has a report function too

I could request membership and see if we could be friends.... Hmmm.

Your call, says more about you than me.

You got me, that is actually my PSN ID, I just want people to add me as a friend.

Cmon RedFury this is the internet, do you actually think I'm going to request membership to some sad idiots PSN group? I just went on PSN communities to see if some of the stupid shit that is in the OP is on PSN too. There isn't much, but a few communities to question.

Yeah, I accepted that from the start. The only counter-argument I've made so far in this topic is exactly what you said in your first line. Unfortunately, some of this shit will slip through. Sony doesn't even blacklist the word "Nazi". Search it on PSN. It's all related to COD Zombie Nazis, but you can bet some idiots have created Nazi PSN communties and had them reported/banned. Especially if the word isn't blacklisted.

Unlike XBL PSN probably can't handle recommendations lol. All jokes aside, as a poster above pointed out on XBL you can turn off group recommendations. I've been invited to some random ass PSN groups, but that is obviously users/spam bots on PSN spamming.

The fact that Nazi's helped create some things at Disneyland (this is true. Look up the rocket and some of the murals) makes this extremely ironic haha

You can keep going on PSN. Penis didn't bring up anything, but Trump managed to bring up Trump's mums... dick? As well as a load of shitty Trump groups

pDG9yyG.jpg

And then we can see how Sony clearly doesn't like those remoaners or libtards

nk1QXi6.jpg

2 members for the Brexit boys? How sad.

Point being, while Nazi symbology has all of this beat, offensive or unwanted shit makes it through filters and attempts to "police" user-generated content.

For "fun" anyone can go to PSN communities and stick words in and see what they can find.

OP - I would seriously try to get some game news media attention for this - Kotaku or something - because I think it's necessary for MS to address this publicly with an apology and assurance that they'll fix this and do better. You won't get their attention through normal means, so it's necessary to publicize this.

Edit - Jason Schreier where you at?

Not going to lie, that "furry little and proud" etc. sentence had me in stitches. Still can't believe it's a thing but that is the world we live in now

Damn, looks like the dick rabbithole on PSN goes quite far

That looks like... a dolphin dildo?

Dick picks only? Hmmm. That seems like another community to join.

I didn't know Sony was running an underground adult network. No need for this Tinder account anymore.

User Generated Content + Recommendation Algorithm

I'd personally just report the group and move on. That's what the reporting system is designed for.

Not only do the statements about Disney attending Nazi meetings have no evidence whatsoever, the entire "essay" is so extreme and far-fetched that it's absurd and insane that someone even wrote that. Calling Pinocchio a representation of Disney's fascist ideas is incredibly bizarre. While Disney did seem to harbor some dislike for Jews, calling his work and the work of others at his studio representations of Nazism is disrespectful and idiotic. Please don't tell me that you believe that.

Jump Cut is an ISO 4 listed and authorized journal and is quoted in many external thesis and articles, so there should be some validation of their articles. That being said, they describe themselves as leftist, feminist, and anti-imperialist, so there might be a lot of bias AND I do agree that the article seems too extreme. I don't believe that what the article describes is true, but a number of publications have, over the years, stated similar things, which doesn't mean it's true, but it's certainly interesting even if they're all just pushing a anti-capitalist agenda. They do say that fascism was pushed by Walt Disney himself but never by the company as a whole, and especially not these days.

Holy shit. How are they even allowed to exist on XBL? I hope OP's situation goes viral.
They aren't allowed to exist; it's a user generated content system serving 10's of millions of people. If automatic algorithms don't block your content then you are "caught" by either people reporting or admins stumbling upon your content.

I really have trouble believing people are speaking "in good faith" in this thread. It's like people are pretending they are new to the internet.

The whole Xbox One dashboard is a mess. And this algorithm doesn't even understand that the OP is a male. So why should he join a women's club? Even if he was a Nazi that would not make sense.

Your guess is as good as mine. Pot calling the kettle black. Bias is pretty clear here with terrible arguments being made too.

Having said that, everything that could be done has been done. Report and hope recommendations get a second look or some form of [better] curation. Especially those targeted to children.

You never know, when some guys are desperate, seeing "women's" in the title might get them excited.

My Xbox recommended I join a waifu club. Why can't people opt out of clubs as a whole.
I joined the Waifu Club, it was perfect for me

I'm just surprised the group is still up.
How has no major outlet picked this up yet? Kotaku practically lives off of turning Era threads into news items, and yet this isn't on there?
