I knew it would happen, but I got addicted to Sparklite, I really really enjoy that game. Also grabbed Ghostbusters on sale, could be because I haven't played it since it came out, but it looks really good on Switch, Still slightly dated animations but it just looks sharp.

Help me out here: Crash Trilogy or Mario + Rabbids Gold?
I'll eventually get both, but can only get one for now.

Mario + Rabbids bar none. It's an utter joy to play. Crash, being remakes of PS1 games, may feel a bit... dated IMO. Watch some reviews of both to get a better idea, but M+R is my top tier recommendation.

Thank you! I've read that Crash is more of a remaster than a remake, which should explain why it would feel outdated.

I've read nothing but love about M+R, so this excites me!

I'm going to look up some impressions/reviews right now.

I'm surprised and bummed that the Sonic Mania DLC is not on sale along with the other Sonic stuff right now. Oh well. I'll probably just snag it at 5$ finally.

For someone that generally enjoys 3D Sonic games, is Sonic Forces worth 10$, or is it just utter shit?

I have no familiarity with the Phoenix Wright, but figured 15.00 is a great deal for 3 games so highly regarded.

I guess those Johny Turbo games are worth $1.99 despite the shit fucking emulation (which could easily be fixed if the developers cared).
The Caveman Ninja games? I bought them during the Xmas/NY sale and instantly regretted upon trying to play the first. I have good memories of playing from the SNES days but now they just feel awful.

Is it possible to sign up for notifications when Captain of Outer Space posts a thread?

I've always been tempted by the ace attorney games, but visual novel is really the worst genre I can think of so I'm very conflicted.

Already had Team Sonic Racing so I got Crash Team Racing. The game is great. Graphics are hit and miss—the overworld is aliased to hell and back, but the tracks look fine to great—and it's not built for accessible casual play like Mario Kart, but the gameplay is a blast if you like racing games and there's a lot of content.

They don't really feel like visual novel games, definitely go for it.

What would you say sets them apart? I've watched some video of it on YouTube and it looks pretty amusing but it's hard to tell whether the court room sequences actually require any sort of brain power or if it just kind of plays out for you.

Also, I enjoyed ghost trick.

If you liked Ghost Trick, it's very likely that you'll like Ace Attorney. It's a little less interactive, but it's a hell of a ride. Some of the best writing in video games and really media in general period.

How is Overwatch's performance? Is the frame rate any better since launch? And does anyone know how the community is; is anyone actually playing it?

I thought Monopoly would be awful, but for $10 it's actually quite solid. I wouldn't have paid any more for it so I'm glad I got it on sale...but if you like Monopoly you can't go wrong with the Switch version.

Did Bloodstained get patched again? Does it actually run well this time?

Current patches have helped, it plays and feels much better than launch. Though never progressed far enough to see the most troubling spots.

Visually it's still not really close to PS4/PC though but acceptable if you don't mind a few rough looking areas or missing effects. I ended up just double dipping on PS4 after hoping for closer parity. It's just noticeably better there.

Heh, I was waiting this one out. It kinda reminds me of Slam Bolt Scrappers. Looks like my patience has paid off.

It's hard to resist once anything decent looking goes under $4.
I've never heard of StarBlox, but this looks neat. There isn't much out there about the game. Yet Canada Aviation and Space Museum did a video on the game?

How is Unravel Two? I'm resistant to buying anything from EA but I'm intrigued because I've heard this is a good couch co-op game.

Frame rate and performance is fine, I can only vouch for handheld mode though since I play it on a Switch lite. Me and my coworkers play it just about every night. Community seems small, takes a while to find arcade games but quick play is always fast.

I played this with my 4 year old daughter back at the time and it was a lovely experience. It is also great that the second player simply jumps on the first players back if there is a difficult section.

Thanks. I might give this a try, then. My wife struggles a lot with games and is easily frustrated - the sort of mechanic you speak of might make this game fairly tolerable for her.

I would think your wife will love this game as the graphics are gorgeous and there is even a small story.

Late reply but I paid like 30$ for each of these games back on the DS days and the were so worth it. Obviously they aren't for everyone but if they click for you, you will have the blast. The first is perfect for newcomers, much simpler cases except for the 5th one. The other two can get overwhelming at times. The third game is sooooo rewarding when you reach the last two cases.
They are great games to play in bed before going to sleep imo. So many times I wouldn't let my DS so I got asleep with the console on my head lol.
