2K19 basically fixed all the problems I had with 18. Loving the way more serious campaign ATM
some people are showing -vc on things so we probably wont know till 11th but I would assume vc will be just as bad as last years.
At this point I wish they would just release the My Player any My team modes separate from the My GM and regular multiplayer. There doesn't seem to be a ton of overlap anymore. I keep rooting for the Live team, but it seems they still have a ways to go to compete with 2k when it comes to on the court stuff. I find mysel rotating sports games every 3 years or so, but I may skip out on 2k this year, which is a huge bummer given basketball is by far my favorite sport, to the point where I've written about it now for around a decade.
The labels are accurate. This footage is fucking with me... why does the handheld look sharper than the docked version, when the clip itself is 1080p60fps? Did they put the wrong label?
Wait, where can you get 2K19 for $30 on PC? Unless you are in Europe and then CDKeys has it for $35The only reason I'm buying this game is because I love basketball and it's the only basketball game on PC... Luckily u can get it for like 30 bucks on PC. 2K18 was terrible and it seems they're a bit less greedy this year.
I really wish there was an option for SP only MyCareer and MP MyCareer. Yet we are not going to see it since 2K is getting so much $$$ from VC.This. If they had an offline myplayer where stat progression was less of a grind, but the caveat was I could never take my player online, I'd be fine with that. Thrilled in fact.
PC or PS4 Pro is the best bet. PS4 will likely have more players than PC and less cheaters. However you can probably get PC version cheaper.Help me out guys, which version should I buy out of PC, PS4 Pro, and Switch? Is PC version pretty decent? But Switch on the go argh!! I got 2k18 on Switch last year and really enjoyed it but didn't like the lag at all.

Also, you can get a special costume on PS4.
Yeah I'm in Europe. :/Wait, where can you get 2K19 for $30 on PC? Unless you are in Europe and then CDKeys has it for $35
I was gonna jump at it then I saw the europe only :( cdkeys doesnt even release keys if they know ur not from that region they know i'm from usa cause of paypal, so I just decided to refund something on steam to get it for $35 lolThe only reason I'm buying this game is because I love basketball and it's the only basketball game on PC... eh this $25 in steam wallet was from marketplace sales anyway. people really like collecting those steam cards/csgo boxes/keys.They have a US ones on there.......but it's $51.....not much of a discount
yes, I wouldn't even bother with the switch version till it hits 60fps, which won't be likely till the next iteration. It felt insanely slow and unresponsive in 2k18
They going to run out of stamina insanely fast doing that.........I noticed it in my career, so I decided to get more clever with handles and screens. Holding turbo against a lock down defender is going to get them smoked. Plus when they body you and try to force their way through you can easily attempt a steal there and have a decent chance of getting it.
PC servers are godly atm though, its clear that they have no idea what they are doing console side as the shit there is wack, and again its only going to get worse because the console version for general public is Tuesday........the amount of folks playing now isn't even the flood thats going to enter.
MyCareer is by far the best it has been in a LONG time. I've been getting on average 1k to 1.5k VC per game. You have way more options this year to get VC and most basic animations don't cost much anymore. I remember having to spend like 20k VC last year on dribble animations. It's much better on the character side, just don't go to the shops in the neighborhood I saw 8k VC for one fucking tattoo........dear lord. So concentrate on actually playing the game first, VC is much more generous and its probably the easiest to upgrade a player in 2k19 then it was this entire generation. Also getting badges are much, much better this year. I had a bronze badge for difficult shots before I even left china.....and almost have 4-5 total bronze badges after 3 games.
I did notice acrobatic layups activate more often depending on your arc type too, my dude is pulling some DRose shit driving the lane and its so much better with having the shot bar back for layups and stuff.
NBA 2k18 is probably the worst 2k game this gen, while 2k19 seems to actually be the best so far. I'm packing up my stuff to head to my parents house later and play with my little brother. Will post more impressions hopefully tonight on the VC fiasco and see if what we have in the beginning gets better or if they pull and switch and say fuck you down the line.
I want to get this so bad on Switch. I just can't get over the player models and lack of clothing physics. They look off and I don't know why.
Frame rate is still 30fps but from my limited time with it up to this moment, I'd say it feels smoother than NBA 2K18.
Well, I am jumping in on Xbone X with the NBA bundle anyway so I will be good but would have double dipped on PC for $30.They have a US ones on there.......but it's $51.....not much of a discount
Game is already better than 18 especially the my career. The story is better, no annoying cut scenes thus far ( if there was you can skip them) when youre in the NBA and they are more generous with the VC.
The my park games are different though. Players cannot seem to handle the ball well so it seems like you're constantly getting stripped or just flat out lose the ball. Maybe they did this so people don't dribble the air out of the ball?
yup.. on PNO you absolutey have to play off ball defense due to this shit
This runs so so so so much better on Switch than last year.
Handheld NBA 2K is bliss.
I found 2K18 rather unplayable on Switch and mostly played on PS4. 2K19 on Switch is good enough I cancelled any plans to get it on PS4 and am going Switch only.I went back to the PS4 NBA 2K18 last week (to try in vain to get the discounted offer for 2k19) and it was like night and day with the switch version in terms of how it ran. The Switch version is better, but is it that much better? I'm still way more tempted by the PS4 version, I think.

Thanks!!! Appreciate it!There's still a shot meter, if thats what u mean. They added a layup meter this year though.
Seems similar to last year, but the shooting is more responsive this year in the switch version.
One of the major annoyances I had with the Switch version is that there was no way to put the console to sleep and resume the game. I realize it's because they don't want people cheating the netcode to accumulate VC (or something) but is there at least a way to save your progress so you can go back to it later? That and having to be online at all times kind of defeats the purpose of having it be portable in the first place, to me.
The two NBA games seem to be taking turns.
Live was up there and then after the best bball game ever (Live 10) they ruined it with Elite.
2K have now got cocky and greedy and just as it's happening, Live is building a quality product again.
It's even harder this year.Question about the Switch version and difficulty.
I don't mess with the sliders or anything and typically just play on Pro settings over the years since I'm more of a casual player of the series and I'm good with that. Last years Switch version was terribly difficult on the Pro setting, in comparison to previous years playing the PS4 version. How is the difficulty on Pro this year?
