The fact you can't use outside sticks for 2 player kinds kills it imo. The pick up and play with random people aspect goes out the door unless you're lugging around extra gear.

I wonder if this won't be as pricey as arcade sticks usually are. At least, the games provide a bit of better value.

Cautiously optimistic, depends on emulation quality.

It's actually kinda neat that they're limiting this to fighters, it means less chance 94 and 95 will be the only KOF reps.
I still fully expect those two to make it in though.

25 out of 40 games on the japanese neo geo mini were fighters, including every single neo geo KOF. i'd be surprised if this has fewer than 5.

Holy shit, I didn't know it had games installed! If it has Sanwa parts it's too good to be true. I didn't cop the NeoGeo mini, but I'm very interested in this.

I wish Capcom's also came in a normal sized stick form factor instead of the dumb ass logo.

Depending on emulation and build quality this sounds way more appealing than the miniarcade thing they did.

They know arcade sticks can be used for more than just fighting games, right?

Like, the Neo Geo mini had double the amount of games on it.

Also, allusions to the mini are not welcome because that just makes me think they will force a vaseline filter on me here too. Also those pads aren't great.

It says you can connect mini pads to this thing, but can you daisy chain two of these together? I'd think it would be ideal for both players to be using arcade sticks

I'm interested in this, I wanted to dive into NeoGeo emulation. Is there an estimated release date? (I would guess around the time Terry comes to Smash, since it will get a new public curious about SNK games).

Oh and slightly off topic but while we're here, can someone explain to me why they changed the buttons layout on the controllers for the NeoGeo Mini?

In the new layout, in fighting games like KOF you get both punches over both kicks, weak attacks on the left while strong attacks are on the right. The old layout may work better for platforms/Metal Slug games.

    Why so many World Heroes games :P SamSho3 is quite pointless too and no Real Bout 2.

    Still think they should have made it a similar 2-player setup instead of a singleplayer stick/console that you have to buy additional controllers for.

    Good list, but I would just replace Art of Fighting with Art of Fighting 2.
