Apologies if this has already been posted. Didn't see anything when I searched.

Battlefield 1's third expansion, Turning Tides, will hit the game starting December for Premium Pass owners, but in the meantime, regular edition owners are getting the Nivelle Nights map as a freebie this month.

Nivelle Nights arrived for Battlefield 1 as a 'bonus' map back in June, as its very first night based map. Nonetheless, the map was exclusive to Premium Pass and They Shall Not Pass expansion owners. DICE has now announced that this 'Battle of La Malmaison' based map will arrive for all Battlefield 1 owners in early November, meaning we may not have to wait that long.

Also incoming in early November is the new Operation Campaign game mode, which DICE delayed earlier this year from its original October launch window, to "make sure that it's a great experience." Operation Campaigns serve as combinations of multiple Operations, with the very first Operation Campaign, Eastern Storm, stringing together the Brusilov Offensive and the Red Tide Operations.

However, as both these Operations are part of the game's In the Name of the Tsar expansion, only Premium Pass or standalone expansion owners will get to play the new Operation Campaign.

Hopefully, this will be the beginning of more free maps arriving for base game owners, as judging by other EA games such as Titanfall 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront II, the company seems to be heading away from season passes and paid expansion packs.

Guess they figured just adapting existing maps into a new gamemode didn't really count as "new maps".

It is appreciated though, all maps should have been free.
