Yeah. Though they apparently showed new screens of the redesigned Cloud and Avalanche crew behind-closed-doors at the 30th Anniversary art exhibition earlier this year.
You're right, that's exactly what I said. Uncanny. By all means, continue to squint at zoomed in off-screen monitor shots to your heart's content.

I only remember people theorizing about him maybe getting a bit more buffed (like in the CG render or the Play Arts Kai figure) along the game progressing. Or not even that, as some assume that he's going to look younger in that new Nomura redesign.
Meh. It's not like it's some massive reveal. It's a blurry image of boss that was in the original. Would maybe be big if it was something outside Midgar or a character we hadn't seen yet.
I'd say it's going to take at least that much time for Part 1. It's probably going to be cross-gen at this point.
They never claimed otherwise. Luckily Nomura is a far better action RPG director than Tabata, so even if flawed, it should be more fun than FFXV
