Nope, no customization at all. You choose gender and that's it. Unless you buy the Season Pass which will have alt costumes.
Crap, I literally thought that might be the case when I posted it. Well not really crap. I don't care, I actually like that they have uniforms at school, makes more sense to have casual wear off the battlefield.

I'm with you. Boring is putting it mildly in my opinion. Feels like a misstep.
Like, it's a good voice, but the delivery is a bit stilted in that trailer at least imo (and I thought it was extra unconvincing in the E3 trailer where he's all aggro :/). Would be crazy if it was Yuri though - it would be like his third lord lol.
I wouldn't necessarily judge too much the VA from trailers. It's always splice together, plus edited and doesn't reflect the final game.
Terrible price to pay to me, especially with how horrible these two characters look and especially when best as we can tell they don't even seem to talk in said cutscenes they can now be featured in, or anywhere else for that matter save for death quotes and tutoring quotes. Not to mention many of the cutscenes we've seen have been in-engine, not pre-rendered, and they're quite good looking so it's not even like they need to rely a great deal on pre-rendered cutscenes as they did with the 3DS games. Plus cutscenes in Awakening/Fates were perfectly fine if not great when using the first person POV, it was far from a seriously limiting factor.
Honestly. The cutscenes hiding the avatar were awful. The Characters looks is irrelevant in the long run.

Awakening was better about since only a handful of its cutscenes were actual POVs, the majority just didn't feature Robin in them which was fine by me cause it was Chrom's story, but I still never had an issue with it in Fates despite being a lot more prevalent. Regardless that's pretty irrelevant because as I was mainly saying we have good in-engine cutscenes now in Three Houses. It's as much of an either or situation. They can do high quality cutscenes in-engine, they shouldn't need to rely on pre-rendered cutscenes for a ton of scenes.
Romances are back but they seem to be handling them a lot better, so hopefully they won't be embarrassing.

I actually think the same. There are tons of games where you can ship people with the main character, but actually shipping supporting cast with supporting cast is a very rare feature.
