As pointed out in the thread about the 8.00 update, the fact that these avatars are circular fits with the PS5 UI leak

so it fits with the ps5 ui leak which had circular user icons iirc

What other Hunters could have they picked anyway? They also picked Maria, which is arguably the most well-loved boss/character of the whole game.
