Seems silly to make a mural for someone who hasn't even played one game yet. Lebron is officially a vagabond that is clearly using the city as a retirement plan. The Lakers are certainly benefiting from this arrangement but it's a bit ridiculous to already treat him like a folk hero.

He himself was def lowkey about signing to LA (I know there was a lot of media hype about his Decision 3.0). He didn't do a crazy press conference or news article or anything. Just a generic letter through his agent.

So I don't think he is promising anything to the Lakers fans (because lets face it he is in the same conference as the Warriors)

LOL yes they do. The hundreds that make up the actual fan base, and not band wagoners, are one of the most pathetic fan bases in the NBA. All they care about is being more popular than the Lakers and hoping that everyone will forget about the Lakers. That's it, that's all they care about. Laker vs Clipper games are like the NBA finals to them. Go read up on some Clipper forums and read all the salt.

I've lived in LA all my life and never have encountered this. I think the only time there was any kind of hype between a Clippers and Lakers game in the past 20 years was that one time they matched on Christmas I think it was a few years back.

Why are you reading Clippers forums after games anyway? Pls

This is going to get insufferable in the coming years. It should take... what 4 years for Lebron to start getting #1 in several NBA categories including scoring of all time.

It's going to be a parade of records falling with him topping a new list every season; and the bandwagon haters who follow him from team to team to team are going to be absolutely livid as he cements himself in the record books above all those all time greats.

That's true of a lot NBA fans though. Plenty of "Bulls" fans left when MJ left, plenty of
"LeBron Fans" have no allegiance to any team either. That's just how the NBA is.
