Adding stuff like that via a post launch update never goes down well with the community.

So you can uninstall it if you don't give a shit about battlemode? I'm not inherently against this sort of thing to quell cheating in multiplayer as long as it's well implemented and does what it's supposed to.

But at least they're not going to drip feed one a month so you have to stay subbed for 6 months to get all, right? :P

Fuck this shit. Glad I already uninstalled the game after being done with it (bought a cheap key to support Bethesda as little as possible).

Doom 2016 got continuously bloated with more and more useless multiplayer shit. And now they slap a kernel mode driver on Doom Eternal for yet another useless multiplayer mode.
When will I learn to not buy Bethesda games...

Why...did they wait for me to get a code for the game...to do this...all, and I mean ALL of the online focused content in the game is inconsequential; no one cares enough to cheat or game it.

Yikes. If I had the game I'd request a Steam refund. I was waiting for a sub 30€ sale on Steam but now there's no way I buy the game until this is removed

EDIT: Oh wait, this is about anti cheat, not DRM. Still, that's bad, but as long as it starts and stops with the game and it's not Valorant-level bullshit... Still, I don't trust the SecuROM developers one bit.

Why the fuck would you add denuvo 3 months later, and after the game has been cracked and pirated millions of times

I refuse to believe the cheater problem in their cracked on MP is worth this

I don't really like it but so long as it isn't running all the time like Valorant I'm willing to tolerate it. If it's screwing up people's computers like the screenshot suggests then they should maybe reserve it starting when multiplayer specifically is started.
