It's confirmed to be RDNA.
If the console is 12TF it's 12TF RDNA. Some Vega GNC to Navi RDNA TF conversion ratio does not exist.
This is the only place I ever heard of that. And honestly it's quite stupid.
This might actually be it, considering its a test.it's more about testing Oberon's backwards compatibility. I dont know what else.
Good point, that would make it olderIs the test dated in June/July, or is it the database that is from that date?
Why are you so sure we'll know more in two months?😋
right. this lines up with what cerny said. a dedicated hardware for rt. it does not invalidate the oberon leaks from yesterday.
a 9.2 tflops machine will be a bigger jump than was ps3 to ps4.What puzzles me more is how Sony is hoping to achieve next gen VR with this design? Is it enough for a full leap? Presuming the rumors are true.

Why would a public GitHub repo about PS5 devkit specs still be online for 6 months...
Good lawd
⚰️
I think Reiner misinterpreted his source, that same day matt "guessed" xbox would be stronger

9.2 rdna tflops would mean 7x PS4 gpu power. And then will add a zen2 8c/16t
Fair enough, you are right.
they then said they had a check with inside sources and said the figure is likely correct in the video they uploaded yesterday...Nope, even DF was very skeptical of the 12TF figure and raised the exact same point.
Perfection.
They already built a massive console my friend. It's happening :) As is 12-14TF PS5.
This might be old, but a updated patent for was filed yesterday.
Could be the Dualshock 5, could be a Dualshock 4 revision?

Shows possible back buttons on the controller.
The sensor 55 is a sensor (for example, a pressure-sensitive sensor) that outputs a signal corresponding to the amount of movement or the pressing force of the lower surface button 31.
Someone commented a few pages back (this thread moves VERY fast!) that these recent sub 10-TF parts may be attributed to Sony devising a two console strategy. I didn't think it made sense before but if they truly solidified a hardware strategy (CU/frequency) to mimic BC support for older gen PS games, and if the cost to produce these new systems (Navi-based designs) is more cost effective than to keep the existing manufacturing processes (eliminating PS4/PS4 Pro SKUs) .... it starts to make sense.
Imagine: a similar Lockhart strategy for Sony: one that will play all current/past gen games at 1080p vs. an eye melting version that runs 4K w RT.

Incompetence. I've seen active API keys posted in public repos for years. Why would a public GitHub repo about PS5 devkit specs still be online for 6 months...

If none of these "insiders" are to be believed, how do we know that Sony is holding a Playstation Meeting in February? What if we have to go through this back and forth until E3? ...........

Yes, you're correct. For all we know, there might not be a PS Meeting. They could reveal it in a video that releases in April or something. They could wait until E3. Or they could reveal it next month. We don't know.People convinctived themselves that Sony will do the same thing like last time. There is absolutely no indication that PS Metting is happening in February or any other month for that matter at the moment.

The PS4 and PS4 Pro are very conservative pieces of hardware. Why wouldn't they go with that approach again and rely on their first party studio pipeline and 3rd party exclusives? Make a solid, powerful system and focus far more on software.
The problem is that this box will be too powerful and expensive to hit that. Why do you want a $399 box to play 1080p when a less powerful one and much cheaper can do the same. You don' need 9tf Navi for 1080p
Except it does. When AMD announced Navi they said RDNA is 1.25x GCN. 2x One X is 12TF GCN.It's confirmed to be RDNA.

If Klee is to be believed, than PS Meeting will be on February, according to him
Post #4209This a general query because it happens every time someone tries to link to a post here but your link goes to page 85 of this thread but I can't see a Klee post on that page?
best open those links in an incongito window. People having different posts per page settings fucks up those types of post links. This a general query because it happens every time someone tries to link to a post here but your link goes to page 85 of this thread but I can't see a Klee post on that page?
I think it stands to reason that they'd want to get something official out there before GDC since that's where all the PS4 Pro leaks came from and before their financial call on April 1st so they can talk more about future strategy. If none of these "insiders" are to be believed, how do we know that Sony is holding a Playstation Meeting in February?
