Yes! I'll be taking everyone who guessed the correct date and putting all the names into a hat, so if you've guessed the same date as another member don't worry.
Transistor you said that rounding up dates from posts that you weren't tagged in is like herding cats (or at least you were agreeing with someone who compared it to that). You also mentioned that you have a system for that. Is it CTRL+F "bet", "date", "March", "reveal"? Haha =P
I'm not much of a betting man, but out of curiosity, the reveal would have to be on the chosen date? Or is it a "on or before" thing?

Yeah i have gone for beginning of March for that reason, i also thought perhaps Klee heard end of Feb and that might have been a target date to get some stuff ready to show. probably fucking miles off and they do it on Christmas in July on QVC or something.

So ERA bets for end of February as of now. But! Middle of the normal distribution of the data is actually on March 12! (which is coincidentally much close to my predicted 10th of March):

On the flip side, Sony could do a Playstation Meeting Event (technical details) but I feel that in articles they have already done that.
So maybe one more article on detailed specs.
So when they do an actual event, it's going to a big E3 style show. Showing games, the price and release date.
However there may be other interesting features that they what to demo. Maybe a new version of PS Now, UI, sharing, etc.

Big energy coming from this thread. Looks like a mod hijack was needed to restore some levity. Praise be for the pastebin ban as well!
Its a bit bigger in overall volume than original XB1. Which was big at the time. But its not *massive*
I'm not expecting to see a full reveal of the PS5 until after E3 when Microsoft reveals more about the New Xbox. So I wouldn't expect anything until June or July. Also I wouldn't be shocked if the coranavirus has altered their plans due to manufacturing being shut down.
Since rules changed, I'm changing my bet to the 6th of March. But I'm not even in the list yet...
Don't we know for certain a lot more that? Like both have hardware based Ray Tracing, PS5 is at least BC with PS4. PSVR works on PS5. Adaptive triggers. haptic feedback, etc.
Shouldn't this just be a PS5 thread at this point, the entire thing so far is just "guess the ps5 reveal date". Though to be honest I'm not sure why they were ever merged to begin with.

I'm very interested to see the discussion continue on this topic. III-V raised serious doubts that a version of the PS5 GPU could be inside a MacBook Pro that will be released in March of this year.
