So 16M of dead money for the Ravens still, just like cutting him. Probably get some kind of draft pick at least.
The new league year is still a ways off. Still plenty of time for someone to talk sense into Elway.
The only reason I could see Elway even going for this is because he thinks this is gonna be another Manning situation (Which he's fucking delusional if he thinks Flacco is anywhere near as good as Payton). This doesn't make any sense to me

Flacco is old, coming off a major injury, and grossly overpaid. Why would anyone trade for him. Ravens must have had a hard time not laughing during the negotiations.

good point. Man this is such a bad trade. Poor Elway he seems to be pretty good at building a team except for one thing, to bad for him that one thing is the most important thing.
Keenum will have a market but IMO he isnt a starter. bridge QB? maybe.
Would be a great back up QB in the league and would last another decade or so doing that

Well the Den thinking is that they are good enough now to compete. Or that D is good enough right now and they need to capitalize. So even if they only see Flacco as their QB for the next 3-5 seasons, its worth it to them.
