If anything, maybe the Blues situation last year prevents them from doing much which would be a blessing, regardless of how stupid of a comparison that would be.

Imagine if Boston got Hall.

It looks bleak unless you have some bigoted lanky twerp waiting to stand on his head.

Bergevin has to go.

Is Molson just going to sit back and let him continue spinning the wheels?

Not sure firing him at this point changes anything, and how often do you see the GM go before the coach?

Julien is his guy, he's already made a coaching change. He's had enough time to build the team he wanted to build, he's never even committed to anything, be that contenders or tankers. He just wants to be good enough to make the playoffs, basically going into every year with no expectations so he can shrug it off when they suck.

I wouldn't want to be the person that fires that guy. He's ripped

Get Trevor Timmins to make the call.

Molson has let him spin his wheels since 2012. Any other respectable owner would have shitcanned BargainBin at least 2 years ago. As I've said before, the real problem is Molson. Until he either sells the team (not happening), or steps the fuck back and hires a president who actually knows what they are doing to hire the GM, nothing will change.

As far as BargainBin himself, he cant fire Claude and he knows it. Their fates are tied together. No GM in history has ever hired and fired two head coaches and survived.

So since he cant fire Julien, prepare for some crazy ass hail mary trade that likely compromises tomorrow to try to save today's ass.

Also, unlike pretty much all NHL people that move around on hockey carousel, I genuinely cant see anyone giving BargainBin a GM job ever again.

Lol Bergevin was suppose to be landing in Russia right after the game ended, he's got to talk with Romanov and others. His phone must be going off.

Habs longest losing streak in 79 years lol. How many historically bad streaks have occurred on Bergevin's watch now? Theres this one, the historic collapse one after a good start a few years ago, and I feel like there is even one more record.

Gotta clean the whole cupboard out, including Timmins da gawd and all the scouts.

Habs are 2 points behind the Leafs for 3rd in the division with a game in hand. For a playoff bubble team, they are exactly where they're supposed to be.

So is Lafreniere solely a LW or does he ever play center? I need to know if he can be the left shot 2C the Jets desperately need when we win the lottery. Or maybe we'll just take Quinton Byfield.

Jack Todd seems to think Julien is toast today, but that's just a personal thought and not based on anything. They're 3 points out of a WC spot, I don't think it happens.

I'm so glad both of those goobers are gone. Holland really fucked us up and ran off though, didn't he? Must've been his plan the whole time. Sign a bunch of 3rd and 4th line players to really bad contracts, hamstringing the future of the team, then jettison off to another team. Frans Nielsen has 1 fucking point... ONE!!!! In 25 games played. Even I could score more than that.

I'm glad the Canadiens were able to pinpoint their roster problem and put him on waivers so promptly. Real sign of a well run club alright.

Waiving the backup is the best "this isn't a panic move" panic move. The offseason equivalent is firing the assistant coaches.

Johan Franzén confirms it in an interview with a Swedish newspaper

"As a coach he is extremely accurate and prepared. He is great at putting together a system and getting everyone to buy into it. That's his strong side."
"But then he's a terrible person, the worst person I've ever met. A bully who attacks people, it could be cleaners at The Joe or anyone. He jumped on people just because he felt like it."

"Around 2011 I was terrified of being at the practice facility. I just focused on getting up in the morning, thats when he started abusing me and last year was the first time since then I slept naturally"

"The things he said and did to me kept coming up in my head. Every day. But I got good help with those thoughts in my head at a clinic in Colorado last year. It was me and a group of veterans from the military who were also suffering from concussions and PTSD.

"He was a specialist at handling the media. He sets up teams that are hard to beat, you can't take that away from him. But he makes his players very uneasy, they're terrified of making mistakes and his teams rarely make it past the first round"

Hopefully they don't call up Primeau, bringing him up right now could possibly be the worst thing they could do at the moment.

Time to destroy any bit of confidence Primeau has built up by putting him behind a defense that'll leave him out to dry.
