What a joke of a game. If this team misses the playoffs it will be because of the fucking horrific PP. Absolutely blew any chance to get back into this game on their awful PP and gave up a shortie. Same story for so many losses this season. The fact Julien and the rest of the coaching staff won't get their heads out of their asses and figure it the fuck out is so frustrating.
Maybe Garret Sparks isn't the worst goalie in the world? Just putting it out there.
I don't think he's the worst goalie in the world. This definitely alters my view on him. But I don't think he's great.
He's awful. He's been awful all season. I have no idea how he went from hosting the sportscenter desk to doing PBP, they must have been short on people.
I think it's time for Stanley C. Panther to kill the hockey gods, Kratos style. It's the only way to break this cursed cycle.

Cats outplayed them for 58 minutes of that game, and still found a way to shit the bed. That team is just fucking broken.

I heard from an acquaintance who has a wife working at Mayo about a current/former NHLer who was trying to come back to the NHL but had concussion issues and was going to Mayo in Rochester, MN to see some specialists and getting options. The player apparently came in on a semi-private Jet (idk what that even means), went all secret into Mayo, and saw the brain specialist several times over the span of two weeks, and was eventually suggested not to ever play again. This was back in November or December.
The guy I talked to said that it was all kept hush-hush and asked me not to say anything. He never told me the name but going by all the descriptors it pointed to Rick Nash. I know a lot of people assumed he wasnt gojng to come back, but yeah this news is not surprising at all.
Kudos to Nash for prioritizing his health and getting out (reasonably) healthy. It makes me furious to see the likes of Andrew Shaw get his eggs scrambled time and time again and still keep coming back for more. Even Crosby when he had his rough couple of years I strongly felt he should retire. I just dont see how it's worth it to continue on knowing you're one more bad hit away from compromising your long term quality of life.
Yep. Thats why I quit playing football after my freshman year in high school. Im only 5'7" and getting rocked every day by guys that had 100-150lbs on me just fucking sucked. I only got one concussion from playing football but I wasnt going to risk it for another 3 years.

I'll be honest, Doughty's whiny "8 black!? Why did you give ME that?!" is exactly how I would sound, from the slightly too-high pitch to the child-like cadence of a shitheel kid caught obviously doing something wrong but still arguing that they shouldn't be punished.
