I feel like Arpon could mention that one reason they hadn't lost before but have now lost three straight is because DiPietro was injured just before the Guelph series started. Brutal luck.
My mom actually asked for something for once. She wanted to go to this charity lunch & concert, so we're doing that.
My mom lives a couple hours away, so I'm just going to give her a call later. I'll also be relaxing, enjoying the fact that I no longer work in a restaurant, because Mother's Day is by far the worst day of the year.
My mom lives about 15hrs by plane away from me so I sent her some flowers and we skyped. Same as pretty much every year lol.
So I had originally understood DiPietro had been injured before facing Guelph, but:
* DiPietro actually played in Games 1 and 2. Was injured in Game 2.
* He and the 67s were winning 2-0 in the series (they had won 14 of 14 with DiPietro in net)
* Cedrick Andree took over and allowed 25 goals in 5 games, losing 4 straight games
* DiPietro in the series -- .916%
* Andree in the series -- .844%
* Nick Suzuki, e.g., had 1 point in games 1 and 2. 10 points in games 3-6
And this is what Ottawa gave up for DiPietro:

I haven't missed an NHL game since 2005 when I got 2K5 instead. That was a mistake.

I bought NHL 19 honestly cause Subban is on the cover. I installed it, swapped the disk out, and then went back to Persona 5. I'm fucking terrible at these games but playing with someone equally terrible in the older games was kinda fun.
I used to be great at them (NHL 96 was the GOAT), and would almost always beat others I played with. But in recent years, that has changed. Some people are incredible online and play it a lot more than me.
19 was good, but I'm sick of the catch-up AI and the overabundance of tripping penalties, especially on blocks.
I sure missed Preds media and fans going on about Duchene daily. /s
