The Leafs got the Sabres 6th round pick this year for.... The Leafs 6th round pick next year.
The point of this? No idea.
i guess thommie bergman wanted this swedish guy taken

I feel like everyone is knee-jerk reacting without actually looking at the trade. I still don't understand it. Did Calgary downgrade their D to get a serviceable scoring 2C? Did they want to get more mobile overall? Are the rumours about Hamilton true?
And did Carolina have a glut of centres? I didn't think so
Because we have a dumbass coach who thinks Oesterle is a top pairing dman yet Kempny wasnt good enough to even be on the bottom pairing.
Andreas Johnsson 5.0 plsthe point was to draft this one overager who was ranked by only one organization
this screams bergman
My guess is that it's the difference between LHD and RHD. We're deep at LHD but RHD we have Faulk, Pesce, and I guess McKeown.I guess my issue with the trade is that the Hurricanes have always been super strong on D and in this trade they got... more D and Ferland. Doesn't really address their issues.
Seems that way.
It's wild because I just popped into this thread from twitter where analytics people are absolutely dragging Calgary for this trade and saying for Eric Tulsky just plundered the Flames, so the whiplash I am experiencing lol
He was solid for Chicago too.
Its one of those situations where a coach has overstayed his welcome and needs to go.Sounds like one of those situations where the coach just never likes a particular player for one reason or another.
Imagine justifying a trade on character grounds when that's the best you can come up with. I mean, it's no raising money for a hospital while black, but come on.

Seriously our media sure knows how to chase a guy out of town. I partly blame MB for allowing the circus to continue
I think it's because people kinda know Hanifin and they feel like Lindholm is supposed to be good but they don't know Hamilton. Because to me the trade is at least pretty even, if not a 'win' for CarolinaIt's wild because I just popped into this thread from twitter where analytics people are absolutely dragging Calgary for this trade and saying for Eric Tulsky just plundered the Flames, so the whiplash I am experiencing lol
I agree. Decent trade for the amount of pieces involved. Carolina may have done better because they got Adam Fox but Calgary by no means got fleeced.Because to me the trade is at least pretty even, if not a 'win' for Carolina
