Same. There's just so much coming out. I don't even know where to start.Wow. They even positioned this as a "Mini" and people still moaning? It's wild to me how dissonant my feelings on the gaming industry can be compared to the general vibe sometimes, but even still I'm pretty surprised at how many people weren't into this one.
For me, it was fire from end to end. I can't even recall the number of games I'm interested in -- Xenoblade, Bravely II, Borderlands, weird new Nintendo game out today (Good Job!), Catherine, Panzer Dragoon and new Capcom shadow drops to start. Just an interesting variety of solid-looking games wall-to-wall for a half hour to get us to summer (and it's already April, fer fuck's sake). That's cool to me.
You got Bravely Default 2 demo, Xeno blade release, new smash character, two new events for AC in a month and more.
People can be ridiculous sometimes.

The problem is: Due to this Direct Mini, we know that there will most probably be no new firstparty-releases from now till September - beside of Xenoblade. This is an awful release schedule and even more worse than the same timeperiod last year. Even under corona conditions they could easily release a Pikmin 3 Deluxe in June or a Paper Mario in August. I don't understand this weak lineup at all.

My argument was made specifically at someone who is talking down to others for being unhappy. The recent trend in these threads to call people entitled to shut them up I'd really counterintuitive.1) the games actually announced are all good and there's a wide variety of them hitting many types of games, which is what we want to see
2) while your expectations may play a role in how you receive an announcement, it has very little bearing to reality
3) the entitlement comes from the fact paying to buy a hard ware entitles you to get exactly what you want all the time. That is not going to happen, and on the wider context of things, we've gotten a lot of things we want, so if this direct didn't do it for you, it doesn't entitle you to make the argument you made.
I meant backwards in the sense that it seems to be increasing recently, not just specifically with this direct. Sorry for the confusion.none of the games in the quoted tweet are by Nintendo. I was responding to the idea it's backwards to announce JP-only games but since those are out of nintendo's hands, I don't see it as backwards
They only covered games (or at least their demos) scheduled up to June. That is likely not a coincidence.Well, this was a very mini direct.
Excited for Bravely Default II and Xenoblade, but it would have been nice to hear about a new upcoming game as well. I guess it's going to be a pretty light year for Nintendo.
Yeah what's up with their first-party releases? Are we just assuming they have nothing new until August or September?
Xeno is mayYeah what's up with their first-party releases? Are we just assuming they have nothing new until August or September?
Maybe I just don't like these games? Jesus christ it's not like I haven't tried Braverly and Xenoblade before -_-Sounds like it's time for either another console next to Switch, or to broaden your gaming genre habits.
Ideally both.
how exciting, we also didnt get new first party games announced which is what weve been waiting for since september. Its ridiculous that you cant fathom why people are disappointed

It is - we got the Indie Direct, Animal Crossing and the Mini Direct in the last 10 days from Nintendo....which you could say were among the 10 worst for most industry nations in terms of economic impact. It really upsets me, but I need to force myself to look away from the screen (and this site) when I see people being negative for the sake of it.

They shadowdropped an eshop game today (Good Job, published by Nintendo), Xenoblade in May, Clubhouse in June... But ok, if you say so.Yeah what's up with their first-party releases? Are we just assuming they have nothing new until August or September?
Yes, I tried out BioShock Infinite and the first one on my PC. It's okay but also not my cup of tea.Okay so you don't like Bravely, Xenoblade, AC and Smash.
What about the 2K games collections? Ever played those? Or, to return to my first post quoting you, you should look what games are on other platforms you might enjoy.
I didn't critize that you don't like those games, i just said that you have to change habits and/or looks elsewhere for stuff you might like within the next 3 months.
Pretty strange. They're putting most the focus on DLC.Yeah what's up with their first-party releases? Are we just assuming they have nothing new until August or September?
That doesn't mean people can't still be disappointed with what was shown. Is the other side expecting nintendo to show games that may be disrupted due to a global pandemic?
Even the last mini had two first party ports and a fairly "big" first party game. This didn't even have the former, and ended with not saying much about DLC that was just announce, both of which are part of the issue for seemingly most people.Yeah I understand that it has been a while and we want big announcements. But as soon as I see "mini", that changes my expectations.
