brazil, unfortunately
Nah... i dont think we'll see another direct so soon.

We might get some 3rd party announcements, might even get something like that Diablo 3 video with Reggie, but not a Direct.

Im not even sure if we'll get a new direct before E3. This last one was very good with a lot of new games and release date/window, gotta save something for E3.

It's fun seeing the difference between the Microsoft topic and this one. They're talking about E3 and how it's going to be one of the best ever. Nintendo fans are talking about Directs like every month and Pokémon Direct next month. Lol

Sites like Eurogamer went to the event.
The event that was held on the 30th. Not the 29th.

Look, the original tweet was in Japanese. Why would Masuda write a tweet in Japanese, on his Twitter account that is largely in Japanese, to his mostly Japanese followers, to tease a date that was not relevant to that audience, and why would he do it in such an oblique and impenetrable way? What sets 5.29 apart from 5.22, the other obvious number in the screenshot?

Masuda likes to tease, but he does it by randomly tweeting about the moon, or by including Pikachu and Eevee plushies in photos he takes around the office. There's no evidence at all that he's sneakily editing random Pokémon Go screenshots to include pseudo-ARG numbers that, when looked at in a certain way, lay out Game Freak's publicity strategy. It doesn't hold up in the slightest.

It's not a surefire thing, but no one would look at it if Masuda hadn't used Twitter to hint at events before. You're right that there's nothing that makes 5:29 stand out in particular, and it's most likely a coincidence. I definitely don't think it's past Masuda to hint at announcements with dumb numbers in Pokémon Go.

Nate did a good discussion video on how Nintendo has trained its fans for the "direct hype".
We're conditioned to be never satisfied with what gets shown, and instead crave for what's coming next.

Usually when there's so many rumors and "leaks" abound, it means -something- is coming.

I mean, most of them are fake. But usually we get one or two that are actually true. I'm hoping it's the same this time and we're gonna get info soon.

I'm thinking that there might be a smash direct where they show off Joker and show off the next fighter as well as detail the 3.0 changes.
