You mean the insane use of post-processing? I kind of liked how it looks in OT, so I'm fine with other games copying it tbh.octopath has such an immediately iconic art style the new suikoden is copying it

It seems you're rather confident it's not a Mini this time Nate.
No one would pay.NateDrake you should start charging for reassurance. You'd be rich.
Yet people in the kickstarter thread where pretending the switch wouldnt be able to run nu-suikoden for some reason 🤔octopath has such an immediately iconic art style the new suikoden is copying it
the sequel is gonna be huge. the game has unusually long legs for a JRPG and the steam release did really well and brought a lot of new people to the gameSquare Enix really struck gold with it.
Team Asano stays winning.

Absolutely, I believe Falcom also thinks is the best way to play them. I don't really remember CsI having big hints on Zero/Ao tbh, in CsII the events overlap with the events in Zero/Ao, but CsI is maybe the game with less references to other older games.Yea I have already finished Zero. See I do enjoy reading the newspaper to get an idea of the world and how it's changing so I could see that being an issue lol. I guess I want to play the games in chronological order as Falcom might have intended. Plus I'm itching to play Azure so badly because of the hints I've been getting from playing Cold Steel 1.
Edit: But yea I'll definitely take your suggestion into consideration.
Stream on Twitch in sub only mode lol
We know how well it did on Steam by a chance? I remember the game being really popular on launch, but the Steam release was mostly silent.Yep! Octopath sold 2 million on the Switch, so I think the sequel could be even bigger if SE allows the team to do that and doesn't pull a Bravely Second again.
I mean, I would highly prefer other games from Monolith (like a new IP), this I said before, but Xenoblade games are amazing so I wouldn't be angry if Xeno3 is announced tbh.

That sounds awful. I like my donation thing. People can donate, ask a question, I can answer. It's a nice setup and it lets me give something back. I hated the idea of Patreon because I never felt like I'd do enough content to justify any money given -- be it $1 or more.
I'm not feeling this post
Too bad, they have been really open about making more Xenoblade

They already said they were working on the sequel, right? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was a next year titleYep! Octopath sold 2 million on the Switch, so I think the sequel could be even bigger if SE allows the team to do that and doesn't pull a Bravely Second again.
This is a sadly common take outside this forum. People for some reason don't seem to be able to distinguish between actual insiders and random 4chan leaks and twitter "insiders"Oh god the Lonely Goomba dude on twitter is on an anti-insider rant, about how if you keep saying "Direct next week" you'll end up right at some point.
Not only we didn't heard "direct next week" each week (unless you decide to believe every 4chan shit), but it's fucking stupid to decide that Captain, Nate and Jeff Grubb are just appart of an entity called "leakers", and that "leakers" keep saying direct next week.
This dude has always been full of hot take, but that one's close to toxic toward Nintendo journalists.
I was just joking really lol but I'd definitely check out your channel if you ever did decide to stream on Twitch

Or maybe Dunban is the next Smash characterThis is what I was talking about yesterday. They've been doing Dunban videos for weeks now and then this. I'm thinking Xenoblade Chronicles X is their November game.
So between 10% and 25% of the Switch's sales. Well, I think is not bad at all considering that the UE port was easy for sure.Steamspy is estimating the player base between 200k and 500k, but I don't know how reliable that is.
I don't even check the Direct rumor mill outside of this thread because everywhere you look there are toxic fucks (and to be fair even sometimes here).Oh god the Lonely Goomba dude on twitter is on an anti-insider rant, about how if you keep saying "Direct next week" you'll end up right at some point.

I've been sorta out of the loop with Retro stuff but did we ever find out what they were working on prior to Metroid Prime 4?

Yeah
this is why i hate frigging youtube personalitys sometimes, nothing but a ego trip :/Oh god the Lonely Goomba dude on twitter is on an anti-insider rant, about how if you keep saying "Direct next week" you'll end up right at some point.

Maybe watch an old Direct just for the hell of it?We are still figuring out a topic for the next video. We don't want to wait for the Direct to be announced to do predictions as our next video. We want a podcast before such an episode.
Perfect ideas that will never be real in our world because we are not worthy:
- A Team Asano and Inio Asano (Team Asano+) collaboration for a small scale AA JRPG following the mundane life of a small group of young adults.
Someone said here (I don't remember who) they were working on a Singing RPGI've been sorta out of the loop with Retro stuff but did we ever find out what they were working on prior to Metroid Prime 4?
Yeah, takes like those are annoying. Some people act like there's this big entity called "insiders", and even on this forum you sometimes see people coming into a discussion with "LOL insiders", and when pressed don't even know who Zell, Nate and Rogers are. Just troll behaviour.Oh god the Lonely Goomba dude on twitter is on an anti-insider rant, about how if you keep saying "Direct next week" you'll end up right at some point.
