TWW and TP were ports already. With LA releasing already, I doubt these will be ported anytime soon.

Color Splash actually makes extensive use of the gamepad, so that'd require a big workaround.

WWHD and TPHD makes pretty substantial use of the Gamepad as well. Not being to (for example) manage the inventory while I ride Epona through Hyrule Fields is a big downgrade, IMO.

Nier: Automata Game of the YoHRa EDITION is around 45 GB alone, a collection is really unlikely with the cart costs, even with forced downloads.
I argued the same half a year ago and everyone told me its gonna be smaller on Switch (and not like Nier 1 is such a big game, it fit on one 360 Disc, they could just make that one a download)
I think most of that is the prerendered cutscenes either way.
Also the DLC in the Game of the Yorha Edition isn't bug, so it doesn't even weigh in on the size.

edit:
yep, just checked, the cutscenes are 25 GB, and the game is also 45 gigs without the DLC.

The story on Xenoblade 2 is bland and cliched but the story in Xenoblade X is dreadful

The problem is beyond the story. It has a great premise with the colony ship and rebuilding and settling on a new world.
It fails in it big time. Like there is absolutely no world build after the initial contact. There is no development on the city. The natives "cities" are comprised of individual huts and caves.

It's just really really bad.

XBX and XB2 are nothing but really badly prolonged fetchquest ques.

Here's my port chances tier list.

My attempt:

Will Happen
- Mario 3D World (very different from Odyssey)
- Xenoblade Chronicles X (fans have been screaming for years and Nintendo doesn't have much open world-franchises)

Strong Chance
- Pikmin 3 (would mean delay for P4)

Moderate Chance
- Color Splash (good game, but gamepad-dependant)
- W101 (Kamiya said he wants it, so maybe)

Low Chance
- Wind Waker (already port)
- Twilight Princess (already port)
- TMS (very niche)
- FF5 (time for a sequel)
- Wooly World (too similar to recent Yoshi)
[/QUOTE]

Rubbish. You can tell a story however you want. XBX has bombastic cutscenes for its main story and fleshes it out in its great, in-depth sidequests. I loved it. That's not saying I wouldn't want a more substantial main story, too. ;i

I know, 2B's booty actually transcends mere polygons.

I'd slide Yoshi to low chance since we just got its sequel. I don't think demand is high enough for a Yoshi game for them to port Whoolly world, especially since it was ported to 3DS even more recently.

I don't think that will stop Nintendo from porting them. The Gamepad was a huge part of Mario Maker and that got a sequel

So far the only Wii U ports not under the Mario Umbrella are Pokken, Bayonetta and Hyrule Warriors. I would bet cold hard cash the next Wii U port will be Super Mario 3D World and/or Paper Mario before we see things like XCX, LoZ WW/TP HD, and Pikmin. FE# is more likely now however for some brand synergy with 3H and as a midway point before SMTV comes along in 2020.

Didn't know this actually, huh. If Pikmin is next then anything goes I guess in terms of what game will be ported next.

To be fair even before insiders spoke, Pikmin 3 had strong chances for porting because we dont have nothing Pikmin related on Switch.

Both WW HD and TP HD are perfectly playable only with Wii U gamepad, while (I think) that same couldn't be said for Color Splash.

Talking about potential Zelda WW/TP HD ports, after BotW, Zelda is more popular than ever, so Switch users would easily by millions copies of WWTP HD,
on other hand we could just get new Paper Mario game and call a day.

Midgar, With Love
You Can Bet Your Ass:
Pikmin 3

You Can Bet Your Ass Potentially:
Super Mario 3D World
The Wonderful 101

I Would Suggest Betting A Kidney At Best:
Zelda: The Wind Waker
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Paper Mario: Color Splash

You Shouldn't Bet A Single Body Part:
Everything else

Up until this moment I didn't realize that my ass was a more valuable body part than a kidney. The more you know.

Being ported already doesn't mean anything, especially when stuff like Hyrule Warriors and Resident Evil 4 are on Switch. And yeah, we clearly aren't getting them soon, but we're talking about what ports could happen from now until the end of the Switchs life right? WW HD and TP HD are perfect filler for when Nintendo has blank spaces in the schedule they need to fill.

I dont think its point only about fillers, but also about sales of games, Nintendo is having serious profit from selling ports/remasters on Switch,
we talking about small investment with big profit, and WW/TP HD would easily pass 3m in sales.

If we're including "technically on Wii U games", aka Wii games, i want the Last Story and Pandoras Tower. :]

So regarding that paper printout "leak" from a few days ago that was seemingly confirmed due to Ice Age's release date announcement, people in the other thread are saying that Ice Age's release date had been known on Amazon since February. So we still have no confirmation if that list is real or fake.

Nintendo Land being stuck in the wiiu is super sad

I want a Nintendo Land 2 =/

I would really want Nintendo Land 2 to fulfill the potential of the series and make it an actual theme park builder, where you construct your own Nintendo Land, and all of the rides contain their own mini-game.

Ok, they can be anti-consumer at times, but even Nintendo is not THAT evil. Besides, fans will moan and complain on internet so bad over the delay, even the collection won't be enough compensation.
They charged more for a Tropical Freeze port than they did when the game newly released 5 years ago

I can see Dr. Luigi coming as an e-shop download when Luigi's Mansion 3 launches. Bundled together with a regular switch special edition as well.

Really sick of this reasoning
Right? Like it's so dumb. I think people just want to rationalize why we haven't gotten it and have no other reason.

Why the hell would Nintendo release it right before and give people burnout? It should already be out. In fact, if it's been done for a while like the rumors state, it should've been out in a slow part of 2018 or the first half of 2019 with a big spotlight placed on it.

Okay what is going on? This thread just keeps on going so there must be news.

Is there a rumored date for this direct?

I don't expect Metroid Prime Trilogy to be released until less than 12 months before the launch of Metroid Prime 4.
Thats three 20 hour games, give people time to settle down between the Trilogy and Prime 4 or they will get burned out.
Sure you want the games still on peoples minds for the sequel but you also don't want to have them be like "eh still haven't finished the second one or gotten to the thord one, I will buy 4 later"
Also Bayonetta.
