Thank you for your hard work, as usual.

January looks a bit calmer than the last few months but there's still a bunch that'll land on my wishlist... goddammit.

Super Crush KO for me, because I loved the previous game from the dev, Graceful Explosion Machine.

I'm pretty into To The Moon and curious about Puzzle & Dragons this month. Coming around to Tokyo Mirage Sessions, too, but might save that for a period lighter on RPGs.

Aw yeah, can't wait to replay Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

Might keep an eye on Sisters Royale since it's been a while since I played a shmup & it seems to have been made by the same team that did Castle of Shikigami?

Another month and more games that demand to be added to my backlog. Gonna try and limit myself to just Aviary Attorney and maybe Puzzles and Dragons.

Currently juggling Monster Boy, King of cards and Laytons Mystery Journey, and there's a few more titles i want to buy before the sale is over :/

Ash of God is finally coming out? The retail listings have been pushed back (on the store pages) monthly, it felt like lol. It has a fantastic OST! Don't sleep on it, Switch Tacticians!

Thank you for your hard work op, this is hands down my favorite thread on Era.

That being said, Coffee Talk looks interesting, I’ll probably buy it.

Eternal excellence, tolkir

Still too many games left in my backlog to complete. Still a good problem to have. I'm really looking forward to what 2020 will bring :)

I think I'll get To the Moon after hearing so many good things about it, but other than that it's just catching up on backlog time.

CoffeeTalk looks neat, and there's a demo for PC

Pretty much have to buy PAD too, since they deleted it from the App store here.

Damage from this sale

Assassin’s Creed Rebel Collection
Monster Energy Supercross 2
Spyro Trilogy Reignited
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Now it’s time to wait for another 1st party eshop sale so I can buy Captain Toad. Then I’ll be set for Switch games for a long time.

I was initially hesitant to get Sayonara Wild Hearts as I wasn't sure if I would like the actual game part of it, but because I love that style of music so much I gave it a go and, yea, turns out maybe I should have just got the soundtrack. :P

Gonna keep at it, the OST and visual style etc are all such a wonderful treat, but I can't see myself getting much playtime out of it - we'll see!

Oh man... I thought TMS #FE was the only thing I’d be getting this month and I’d be able to hit something from my backlog, but Coffee Talk, To the Moon, 198X, and Super Crush KO are all must buys. ;_;

Thank you for your hard work on these threads tolkir, here's to another year and hopefully lots of great games in store for everyone!

For example To the Moon! It's a very good story driven game, I hope some people give it a go! It has that same issue that Steins;Gate has, where you need to put up with an insufferable main character for a long time before you get to the good parts, but please don't let the bad punny jokes from that one researcher scare you off it.

Man, why is Coffee Talk and Aviary Attorney back to back ? Might go for Puzzle and Dragons later down the road, I really did kill a lot of time playing the phone version and 3DS version years ago. Also eyeing 198X.

Thanks as usual for making the thread and I look forward to spending another year in them with y'all. I should also prob buy whatever I want from the sale today. lol

New thread!

I don't plan on buying anything new this month aside from whatever M2 Sega games come out and To the Moon to support Freebird Games.

All groove coaster all the time on switch

Hm I’d love to return to TMS Encore but I have too much backlog and too tight a budget to be rebuying it right now. Maybe down the road, but I still need to finish Octopath, Shining resonance refrain, TWEWY, FFVII, WoFF, Phantasy Star, BOF1/2... and that’s just for jrpgs, I’ve also got SRWT, Skyrim, Valkyria Chronicles(I’m almost done with that I need to go back and finish), Chroma Squad and a couple other types of rpgs...

hmm out of that list I really think I need to focus on TWEWY first, well that and finish VC. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

not to mention Fairy Tail is a must buy for me in march

Grabbed Luminous XI...err the Gunvolt quasi-sequel thing. But decided to actually play the Gunvolt Collection first. I am only in the first game so far, but its a nifty alternate take on Megaman.

Eschewing direct attacks in favor of a more indirect "auto-attack" with your lightning shield and focusing heavily instead on balancing your battery level is a pretty interesting gimmick. It works pretty well and instead of doing the weakness order with earned weapons, instead you get different abilities and guns that add slight twists on the core "pin target and nuke" mechanic, but without completing negating the balance if abusing proper equipment. At least so far.

Looks quite good, feels good. The levels are its weakest aspect, just very basic and lacking budget the team likely had. Some decent obstacles to clear with a couple hidden collectibles tucked away to discover, but far from the genre best. Possible the sequels improve things here. I do like that the game incentivizes you to replay them taking on new challenges for bonus crafting materials to unlock helpful gear and abilities. Some neat ways to customize your gear and abilities to make the game feel different as you progress.

It feels like the sort of experience Might Number 9 was probably attempting by twisting the core formula and design, but this succeeds. Though some may not like not being able to just shoot down everything with your equipped pistol. Maybe a gun unlocks that lets you just do that though.

Thank you Tolkir for the all of the monthly threads, you always do such a nice job with the OP and weekly updates. I especially love the 2019 year in review - there's a few gems on there I missed out on, and will definitely look into! And thank you to everyone else who gives their impressions on games - I've bought (and enjoyed) more games based on recommendations here, than from anywhere else.

I had no idea To the Moon was coming out for Switch! It's been on my Steam wishlist for a few years and I always consider it whenever it's in sale but decide to hold off because I don't like playing stuff on my laptop.

Hyped for the new Ace Attorney Aviary Attorney. It's been sitting on my Steam wishlist for a while. Hopefully a Direct gives the date for Outer Worlds on Switch.

Probably just gonna pick up vouchers for TMS and animal crossing.
Animal crossing is a voucher game right?
Other than that I think what I got this month is enough to last me until march
