Hey, guys...

Aww man, none of the KoF dream matches? ('98, '02)

At least there's '95, one of my all-time faves. Love that Rivals Team stage! Will probably pick up FF Special and Garou, too.

I can be wrong since I haven't played RE0 yet, but apparently RE0 is more interesting if you play RE1 first.

It has several new mechanics(partner system) and does some things that were often requested in the series(like dropping items instead of being forced to always swap at an item box). It also has some tense scenarios where you are forced to use the partner to clear some puzzles and checkpoints by splitting up.

RE0 suffers from having a relatively forgettable story and feeling overly needless in terms of lore(with some really outlandish stuff within, even by RE standards). But mechanically it was a solid expansion on the classic formula. Those that enjoy the older style of RE gameplay, will have a good time. Those that want an exciting caper in the RE universe will end up feeling its a bit lame.

If I'm jonesing for some Diablo 2 style gameplay (Diablo 4 hype), would Torchlight 2 fill that void? Or would I be better waiting for D3 to go on sale (which I have played and enjoyed despite being different from D2)?
I love the Switch-exclusive unicorn pet but after 20+ hours of Torchlight II I struggled to stay motivated and went back to D3. D3 has far, far more interesting loot, abilities, and depth overall and for me it's just plain more fun.

Really, eh? I'm seeing so many people say Torchlight II has way more of a Diablo 2 feel, but I can't decide!

KoF 95' fills in a gap I had, now have all of them except '01 and '03 I think. Yay.

Going back and forth on whether or not to get Hotline Miami, loved the first one on Vita but haven't played the second, heard mixed things. Also have more than enough games right now.

Debating on Monkey Barrels, it looks fun, but I'm not sure what to make of them dropping that announcement trailer like a week before release and the fact that they don't have any shooters on their resume has got me a bit concerned.

Anyone heard any impressions or anything? I'm not finding any reviews yet and the name is not exactly making it easy to search for info.

Trying to find a song list, but nothing aside from the fact there's two DLC packs for 1,500 yen each with 10 songs & some extra small stuff, one being Undertale themed. Hearing there's pro controller support. Might need to wait a bit for more impressions to come out, I'm interested as well as someone who played a decent amount on mobile but want a bigger screen & bigger music selection/DLC packs.

Trying to get back into Hollow Knight after a long break, I wish the game had difficulty options and QoL features like Celeste. The game is just too damn hard.

Thanks for the response. Hopefully we get some clarity on the Switch version! I love me some Grove Coaster!

Come on, the only thing to take from the timing of the trailer is that they don't have a big marketing budget and want the game to still be on people's minds by the time it releases. It's effective, understandable, common, and even appreciated. Also, they do have a shooter in their catalog: Mii Force is hands-down one of the best shooters of the decade. Good-Feel's output so far ranges from pretty damn good to downright spectacular, there's no need whatsoever to be so distrustful.

Juicy Realm is out with a 20% launch discount which in itself as usual makes it tempting. It's a dual stick roguelike with really striking cartoony art.

Has good reviews on steam (where it's also 5€ cheaper, goddamn switch tax) and ive had my eye on it for awhile. Also in Rhaknar's trademark eagle eye for new deals before the official listings, Elli is 40% off (for the first time?) and I've been waiting ages for it to go on sale, it shall be mine.

I'll be really curious to see a version by version comparison list of the two Super Lucky's Tale iterations. We played through the first game on Game Pass a little over a year ago and enjoyed it a lot, it felt like a spiritual successor to both early 3D collection platforming and platforming-focused Crash Bandicoot-type gameplay. We got the DLC earlier this year and enjoyed it just as much if not more than the main game, and it presented considerably more challenge. So I'm curious if that content is included.

I know a lot has been done to the camera and gameplay in this version, and it sounds like it's only improvements which would make it an easy recommend for me as the original game was a lot of fun. As to replaying it just yet, I'll just be interested to know the exact changes, but some time I will definitely want to play this version.

I first got interested in the game but cause it was made in part by one of the Donkey Kong Country Returns level designers, and I felt like that showed through in some of the more platforming-focused levels (they are two very different games, though).

Anyone play Hard West before? It's on sale for $2 (90% off). I love strategy games, but not really looking for one at the moment after coming off Fire Emblem. Still, the supernatural western atmosphere and XCOM-ish tactics is awfully tempting, especially for that price.

The combat phases are good. The overworld phases are dreadful. I bought it with this kind of heavy discount and didn't regret it though, I even finished the dlc.

Katana Zero. Ape Out is alright, it has a fun gimmick, it's challenging, the music is great, the art is great - but it's pretty short, it can be pretty frustrating, and it never hits the highs that other games in it's genre do (like Hotline Miami or Mr. Shifty).

Katana Zero's story frustrated me (because it's one of these games that tries to be mysterious and interesting but ultimately it just lacks a cohesive story and rewarding ending - but it's still good enough I guess) but the game is fun as hell, and it looks great, too.

Wait Mr. Shifty is a good game?

Also, I vote for both Ape Out and Katana zero. Two of the strongest console exclusive of the year on switch, in my opinion.

I got to play 30 minutes of Juicy Realm this morning before work and it is a delight! Blazing Beaks is probably the closest comparison to it with a bright, happy tone and silly theme. The graphics are really nicely done in a hand-drawn style and are full of character. The actual gameplay seems to have a good amount of depth with plenty of options. You can hold 2 weapons and get the opportunity to swap them out with new ones fairly regularly (one seems to drop from each boss plus you can find others randomly). You can pay to upgrade your weapons (either to a higher grade (1-3) or by increasing specific stats like speed or critical damage. One of my favorite things is how you can buy pets to assist you - at one point I had a goldfish, robot vaccuum, monkey and goose fighting for me. I love playing Blazing Beaks with my kids as it's silly and not full of gore and Juicy Realm will definitely be in the rotation now. I'd highly recommend it for roguelite shooter fans and especially for those looking for something lighthearted.
