What site is this for the prices
Yes! Love this kind of craziness :).Im walking around with a weapon that launches flaming kitty heads (complete with meow sounds everytime I shoot) around me, with a fire breathing lobster, a chicken in a UFO, a army seagul, a bullet sucking roomba and a melee monkey following me around...
...Juicy Realm is pretty alright :p
Sounds fun, but sounds a lot like Enter the gungeon. What sets this one apart?Juicy Realms bullet points (no pun intended)
- rogue-like dual stick shooter (think Enter the Gungeon and the like)
- gorgeous 2D art, easily one of the best of it's genre
- 4 characters to choose from, with 4 more to unlock with the meta-currency and a 9th to unlock via challenges it seems
- each character can do a short dash that makes him invulnerable (with a meter that slowly regens)
- each character has 1 main weapon and 1 special skill:
Nerdy guy has a pea shooter but his skill is really good, a sort of plant turret that shoots at enemies. Oh and he can revive once per run, so he's basically the "easy mode character)
Army girl has a spread rocket launcher and her skill makes it so the rockets home-in on enemies for the duration
Ninja guy has a sword and his skill drops a shadow clone (which I assume attacks, I havent used him yet)
Sleepy girl has a pea shooter and her skill is a big aoe slam that stuns enemies
- you can use the meta-currency you get from beating bosses to unlock characters and new weapons (I assume the weapons will then populate the weapon pool of each run like other games in the genre). Each character costs 100 currency, weapons are 30. I had 39 of this currency after my first run where I died on the third level, and only 3 when I died on the first level (I didnt get any because I didnt kill the boss, but the game also converts your normal money into the meta currency when you die)
- various events can pop up in the maps. Slot machines that pop out items, power ups, challenge rooms, stores, etc
- there's a big emphasis on pets, like I said earlier at one point I was running around with 5 pets following me. If you find a pet store, the first pet you buy costs 100 coins (this is regular money that you pick up during runs and is only used in said runs), the second pet costs 200 etc. One cool thing is that when you clear a level, this also resets the pet cost if you find another store in the next level (and how I was running around with 5 pets at one point). Also one of the characters you can unlock, his skill makes copies of your pets for a limited time.
- you can also unlock upgrades to your weapons and to your character during each run. Stuff like your bullets bounce off walls (which was hilarious with the rockets), pierce enemies, charm enemies, etc. You weapons can also be upgraded 3 times with a special item you get from bosses. Oh and you can recycle weapons you find into money if you dont want them which is jnice (you can only carry 2 weapons)
- the game is very wacky. The enemies are all mutated fruits, the weapons are stuff like a keyboard that shoots words, a money gun that shoots guns, that flaming kitty head I mentioned, a screaming chicken, etc.
- Runs nicely in handheld (I don't do docked) with no slowdown, but I did find a couple of hitches when stuff got too crazy or when new enemies were spaning in a room for example.
Sounds fun, but sounds a lot like Enter the gungeon. What sets this one apart?
Come on, the only thing to take from the timing of the trailer is that they don't have a big marketing budget and want the game to still be on people's minds by the time it releases. It's effective, understandable, common, and even appreciated. Also, they do have a shooter in their catalog: Mii Force is hands-down one of the best shooters of the decade. Good-Feel's output so far ranges from pretty damn good to downright spectacular, there's no need whatsoever to be so distrustful.
Did you watch the video review in post #227? Some of the stuff in that video gave me those vibes. My pleasure, Rob! I sure hope the DLC levels are included because they had some serious Mario Galaxy vibes.
Nintendo Life gave it a 7/10.is layton actually that bad? or is it still an enjoyable game? deluxe edition has new and updated puzzles apparently
i just want it
Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy – Deluxe Edition proves itself to be a strong puzzle game in its own right, although compared to the highs of its predecessors, it doesn't nearly hold up as well. Even so, the pleasant visuals, wonderful writing, and (mostly) strong puzzle design make this an easy sell, even if the occasional missteps in some of the puzzle answers and the lack of compelling new features for this re-release prove to be drawbacks. We'd give this a recommendation to anybody looking for a slower-paced game that still demands lots of attention. It's an excellent 'winding down before bed' sort of game, and though it might not fully live up to the series legacy, we're still excited for whatever Level-5 is planning next for Kat.
'winding down before bed' is my favourite kind of game
Yeah, I want it but $40 is a bit steep.'winding down before bed' is my favourite kind of game
maybe ill pick it up if it ever goes on sale
I didn't have any issues at all.
more Juicy Realm!
finished a run, took me 41mins. Used the girl with pon-pons who seems bit OP, she has the least health of all (only 4 hearts) but a massive shield that regenrates over time, so unless you really fuck up and lose the shield+the hearts, she seems OP (at least on normal), I never even lost a heart. There are 4 biomes (forest, desert, ice, spooky cave) with multiple possible bosses in each, then a final boss. Game is definitely easier than Enter the Gungeon on its default mode for sure, especially because you can become seriously OP if you get lucky with drops.
When you finish a run, you unlock hard mode, which is a shrine in your main camp with modifiers you can activate. Each modifier adds 1 star to the run, so I guess this is how you unlock the robot character since it says you need to clear hard on 3 stars. You also get a seed (thats the meta currency to unlock characters and whatnot) multiplier the harder you make it, which is nice.
Speaking of the meta currency, you can also unlock health upgrades for your characters, at first I assumed it was for all but then noticed each one does a different thing so I assume its per character (for example the nerdy dude gets +2 hearts per upgrade vs others who only get +1, and the shield girl doesnt even get +hearts, she gets faster shield regen). Im unlocking characters first so I havent messed with those upgrades to know if unlocking the first on one character unlocks on all, but I doubt it.
Speaking of unlocking characters, unlocked my first one, the pet guy who comes complete with a dog and his skill clones your pets (it clones the dog so I assume it also clones any pet you have which sounds OP lol).
Really liking the game.
I'm really tempted to pick this up. How does it compare to similar games in the genre (Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Blazing Beaks, Nuclear Throne, etc)?
Does it have a large variety of items and weapons?

Don't ya'll ever just delete old games you're done with to make room for new ones?I had to clean the fridge to install the Terry patch into Smash. I have a 400gb card and now I'm depressed thinking of upcoming releases I need to make room for...
Check the first section it shows.I didn't get a chance but if you can tell me a timestamp I can tell you if those are the DLC levels. :)
Check the first section it shows.
that made me think, "oh, there's some legitimate platforming in this game. Nice!"
YES.How do you guys deal with it? Do you delete games you're done with? I don't want to lose them in the inevitable future where the service shuts down, and I don't like redownloading large files if I can help it.
Picked up Grove Coaster and love it. I believe there are 100 songs and each DLC includes 10, so a total of 140 songs if you spend the JPY for the DLC, too.
Storage space is becoming a real issue for me, causing me to think twice before purchasing.

My best idea currently is to use my old 128GB micro SD to store less frequently played games and remove them from my newer 256GB card. But I fear even that won't give me enough storage space with the increasing number of large games on Switch.
And since micro SD cards are neither getting larger nor cheaper very quickly I sincerely hope future Switch revisions will have more than one memory card slot.
Was Hotline Miami ever fixed? The collection is on sale.
Also how is the port of Katana Zero?
Cool to hear! I can't wait to check it out myself. You talked me into it. And based on like at most 30 minutes of play time at around 2 a.m. it was pretty rad.
Just watched a youtube video of it and I'm very close to purchasing it. Rhythm games are one of my weaknesses, lol.
Glad you're enjoying it!
I haven't really played with my Switch in a while. I'm sure I've missed out on alot. Might get back into things, starting with Groove Coaster!
I was crazy for the original iOS game. Same thing? Is Reisuke Ishida still involved?Picked up Grove Coaster and love it. I believe there are 100 songs and each DLC includes 10, so a total of 140 songs if you spend the JPY for the DLC, too.
