Would it be enjoyable for someone who never saw any of those movies? It looks good.
Absolutely- I haven't seen the film either, and the barebones plot (you are a special ops bloke working for an organisation specialising in containing the supernatural. A mummy turns up in London.) tells you everything you need to know.

WayForward makes these licensed games to have an excuse to make certain classic pixel art games by dressing them up with a familiar license.
It's been interesting seeing their licensed 2D stuff progress over the years. I really enjoyed Thor, Spider-man: Web of Shadows and Aliens: Infestation on DS, and The Mummy Demastered feels like a logical progression.

Welp, that's it, I'm going to buy it one of these days. Thank you for making me spend money :'(

Would it be possible for some member that has the rights to create OT threads for Steamworld Dig 2 and Golf Story? After all, those are two of the finest recent Switch indies.

I guess I could put together a Steamworld Dig 2 OT, but maybe you can PM Cerium to re-post his Golf Story OT over here? He probably just forgot what with all the stuff going on.

Casting a vote for Steamworld Dig 2, thoroughly enjoyed the game start to finish and beating the last challenge area was the icing on the cake.

Have not played Golf Story yet but I know I will love it (love golf, love rpg's, love the art style) just have not had time to play it yet.

Thanks! I've sent a message to Cerium about the Golf Story OT now.

Ouch! This really doesn't sound good...

Has anyone played Ubi's Monopoly game that release this week? Is it good?

I hope it's better than the steaming pile of crap that EA (not Ubisoft) released on the Wii (not U). That atrocity was loaded with bugs. And it played the music directly off the disc, causing non-stop seek thrashing. EA farmed that game out to a Z- team. I hope Ubisoft hasn't done the same.

Is there a new thread for November?

I can't believe I didn't know that VVVVVV is coming to the Switch. I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy it, having already played it on the 3ds but it is one of the greatest platformers of all time...

Also, does anyone know anything about Morphite beyond what's on the eshop?

I know Morphite Has been on Xbox and PS4 for a few months now. You could probably check out some footage on YouTube. I'd link to some, but I'm on my phone.

Also new on the EU Switch eShop: The listing for Batman: The Telltale Series. It's 6.1GB, supports the Pro Controller, comes out on November 17th for 44.99€ on par with the retail release.

Should I drop the Steamworld Dig 2 OT in Hangouts or the main forum? it's probably old enough to go in hangouts but idk if anyone will see it there

IDK. I put the Golf Story OT in the main forum to let the admins decide. Don't really know where the limit is for Hangouts. Steamworld Dig 2 is still a fairly new release IMO, but that's just my opinion.

Has anyone played Ubi's Monopoly game that release this week? Is it good? What are the 3 different boards that are playable? Which are the new quick modes that are mentioned? How does the online work? I can't find any good info about the details on this game...

There seem to be at least an unknown number of classic boards and three special-themed boards (city, amusement park, ghost town). I just watched a quick Let's Play but it seems that the loading times are horrendous. It took over six minutes to boot the title and another three minutes when starting a game.

Those loading time are absurd... The whole point of quickly play a game on the Switch is gone. Thanks for letting me know!

While I've just started, Perception seems pretty fun. The constant R2 click to see is kind of weird at first, but it makes total sense from a narrative standpoint.

Based on the eshop listing looks like Telltale games is trying to rip on Switch players, 39.99 for Batman, no option to buy episodes separate, they cant say they are trying to match retail when they dont do it for Xbox one and PS4, even the new Batman season 2 is 29.99 at retail, but you still can buy individual episodes

Next month there are several games with an initial price more expensive that other platformers. (Nindies included)
