There was a Torchlight 2 patch already that fixes some bugs, most noteable the stat screen bug where it showed a different stat than the one you were selecting. Also when you use healing/mana pots (or a skill that heals/gives you mana) you see your health/mana pool grayed out for the amount you will receive, which is a nice QoL change. I also noticed a new sound effect when you use a identify scroll, which seems... a bit random but ok lol.

Still no proper respec but to be fair I doubt that will ever happen.

edit: another ncie QoL change, you need to hold the button down a few seconds to put a skill point in, guess it helps avoiding skill mistakes.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll give it a try now.

Also speaking of patches, did RAD ever get an update to fix the extreme blurriness? Reportedly Double Fine said on their Discord that a patch was due early in the week I thought and I've been holding off until confirming it improved things.

This has probably been discussed elsewhere but I haven't looked, but I wonder if NSO is done with NES games. The direct made it sound like they'd add more SNES "eventually", so I wonder what the plan for next month is. Speaking of NES games, did we get new ones this month?

Well I saw a couple sites with articles stating that Nintendo will no longer release NEE/SNES games on a monthly schedule but that we would be getting more of each at some point so I think we will get more eventually !

Can anyone comment on The Creature in the Well switch performance? Played a bit on xbox via gamepass but I'd kinda rather play it on switch.

If it's a constant 60 I'll bite, otherwise I'll just stick to the gamepass version. The storm section at the beginning did have some slowdown on the X1X but there wasn't any gameplay during those events.

wonder when Blasphemous reviews will hit? I need to hear about length, the 25€ price tag is bothering me. I know it's silly, like if it was 20€ it wouldnt bother me... but it does, because on one hand its "just" 5€, on the other hand this is how we get "15 is the new 10, 20 is the new 15 etc"

Yeah same. Though I think I may be buying Code Vein, and I can only tolerate one rage-inducing game at a time.

No monthly releases is a bummer

For sure - and unlike others I don't think this means we will get games MORE often. I bet we will wait months between releases of like 2-4 games. Especially since they arent charging any more for SNES games.
I would gladly have paid an extra amount per year to get a lot more games released.

On topic: I bought and played a little of Headliner since it has great reviews on Steam and sounded like Papers Please. It's....OK so far. The story seems really IN YOUR FACE with obnoxious things written on walls in graffiti as you walk by. The characters are see thru in how the game expects you to see them, with obvious motivations that you can Influence to either help or hurt them - but maybe that develops more over time. It all seems too in your face with 0 nuance. "Big evil government" "bad foreign power threatening us" etc etc.
I also ran across 2 grammatical errors in the first 15 minutes and that drives me crazy - especially in a game where you work at a freaking news agency!!!
Anyways im gonna play more. Not sure yet if I'd put this in the recommended category...

thanks for the impressions! I was on the fence about it & then forgot with the wave of games this week

sounds like a wait for a sale type

I'm just bracing for the grind to set in, since right now I'm still at the point where I level up before I exhaust all my energy. But my kids love playing together. Well, they love Kirby in general so it helps.

I do like that if you buy the equipment, like, say, a sword, all your fighters can use it and you don't have to buy it multiple times.

Got the JP physical copy of VA-11 HALL-A and started playing today. Just reached Day 2. I did not know much about the game before playing so the gameplay mechanics really caught me off guard. "Unique" is exactly what it is. I have never seen anything like this before and I love it.

While I feel that the writing is kinda forced as the conversation between Jill and the clients goes way too serious and in-depth within a short period of time, I also understand the way it works: there is no time for a long exposition in a game like this, and if Jill and the client really reflects how conversations in the real world works, the game will become too boring to play.

Actually, it is just a minor complaint. I enjoy my time thoroughly due to the graphics, presentation, mechanics, annnnnnd... music. Holy shit are the music sound good. I can't wait to continuing playing it tomorrow.
