I don't count a port. I'm talking about new games and yes, since Directs started Retro had one game revealed at E3, which was DKCTF in 2013. It doesn't help they haven't put any brand new games out since then...Haven't they only announced one game since Directs became a possibility? I could be wrong.
Edit: Furthermore, the DKC:TF port, which as far as I know Retro handled, was revealed last January.
So king bombshell basically dropped
- Metroid Prime Trilogy and 2D Zelda in 2019
- 3D Zelda in 2020
- reiterated BotW-tier Pokémon in 2019
So Pokémon Direct most likely.Yep
I dont think a main line Pokemon has ever shared an initial reveal with a non pokemon game
All aboard the hype trainI'm getting hyped for a Direct that might not even exist for games that might not be real. Weeeeeeee.
King Zell might as well work for Nintendo. He's dropping bombs better than Reggie. So king bombshell basically dropped

Nintendo still has to date their Spring titles, so a Direct will definitely be coming relatively soon.I'm getting hyped for a Direct that might not even exist for games that might not be real. Weeeeeeee.

YeahSo Pokémon Direct most likely.
Hope it isn't 5 minutes and only concept art is shown. Then again, at least we'll see it release this year so a tease isn't so bad.

Star tropics takes a lot of timeRetro has only announced two games since Metroid 3 came out 12 years ago lol
WHAT?So king bombshell basically dropped

I still don't understand why they don't announce Pokemon games in January like they did with X/Y

the only way that can be true is if like 5 other studios are helping game freak
holy shit yes!
Oh lawd.
He's confirming 2D Zelda in 2019 and 3D Zelda in 2020, lads.

Let's Go was mostly a C-team effort with some outsourcing assistance.
The first part isn't really true. He said a trilogy of some kind, and we don't know what the 2D game is.
Game Freak has been outsourcing for years now. They probably had that many studios/teams on XY.
then i guess it's possible. still, the idea of a pokemon game that's botw-tier sounds way too good to be true, i had kinda made myself believe new gen was going to look let's go-ish, now i'm super excited to see how they look.
That's kinda my point. If LG had some much external help (mainly to get the game out so quickly), Gen 8 will need a significantly larger group of people on the game to match the scope we seem to be expectingLet's Go was mostly a C-team effort with some outsourcing assistance.
Somehow I missed this post lol. I already assumed the 2D hint earlier was for Zelda, but it's nice to have confirmation.Sorry nothing on Zelda remasters/ports, i dont think we need them in 192D/203D

All I need from Nintendo now is Mario Maker Switch and another 3D Mario at some point, and i'll be set for the rest of the Switch's life.
Well they did say to expect 1 Zelda game per year. I just expected this year to get some ports/remasters instead. I guess that might be saved for 2021.so it's zelda....meh. what's the point on releasing a 2d Zelda 1 year before the 3d one?

The series consistently sells well. I believe they're releasing a Zelda mobile game this year too.so it's zelda....meh. what's the point on releasing a 2d Zelda 1 year before the 3d one?
Any interest in coming out of retirement for a few minutes for a little Metroid Prime 4 news? ;)
I like that he's got 1st party sources. makes me jealous. With what Zell is saying and what I know on the other side... like I've said a few times, 2019 is gonna be great. No one is gonna be able to complain there aren't games to play this year.
Choo choo!
Does anyone else get the feeling King Zell could be just retiring from all the insider crap and throwing away false hints as a joke to go with a bang?So king bombshell basically dropped

What's wrong with that? Not really much different than how they've operated in the past between handheld+console in terms of Zelda releases.
I'm not trying to be pedantic or anything, it's just that we often see people going hog wild repeating slightly different versions of leaks/teases as truth, and then having a shit fit at leakers when it's not what they expected.
Ultimately pointless now as Zell appears to have more explicitly teased a 2D Zelda in the last few posts.
I mean, just look at gtav and rdr2 (or botw!). A new Zelda release has to be an event, so people will be all on board. 1 game every 3-4 years is more than enough
Nintendo Direct?
I'm shocked people are shocked by talk of a Direct. Nintendo has nothing dated beyond next Friday. January Direct are almost annual events. How a January Direct is surprising to people kind of confuses me.
