i think the among us craze started in japan way later than the rest of the world (basically started with its japanese switch launch). half the tweets from the among us twitter account are japanese fan art these days.

Kinda surprised Animal Crossing ranked as low as it did on the list, but I'm theorizing that it achieved some crazy saturation in Japan during 2020.

Smash and Mario Kart being in the top 10 is so crazy. Like not crazy because they're great games, but crazy because they came out forever ago.

    So, knowing that it is at least 51k on the eshop this year, where does that put it based on known numbers? It is gonna make to the 1 million, the question is if it will happen before the III hype train starts. Crazy that it is so close to the physical numbers.
