There was already a trademark for "Nintendo Switch", so this is odd (maybe not?)

What do you think?

Bit weird that they didn't have NSW already trademarked because it's already used often as shorthand for Nintendo Switch.

First they came for Kylie Minogue, now they're coming for the New South Welshmen!

I bet a meal that it's just usual "we're just trademarking to not let anyother use something similar to ours".

I've seen it used a ton as an abbreviation for Nintendo Switch fairly often.

Can't believe Nintendo trademarked my state though.

NSW makes me think of the Switch. NS, not so much. It's a bit surprising they didn't do this before.

Having the new system abbreviate to NSW, which is already used in retail to indicate Nintendo Switch would be the most Nintendo thing.
This is the same company that thought WiiU was a good name, after all.
Exactly.
The WiiU was immediately what came to mind.
So there is hope a new Switch is getting announced soon

Reading all the posts and seeing nobody mention it. I'm ashamed to admit that I read it "NSFW"

I've definitely seen places abbreviate Nintendo Switch to NSW before. Maybe not Nintendo themselves, but still...

I wouldn't expect this to be anything.

They can have every single one of them. Shire wankers, Westies, the hills residents that gave us Hillsong, the greedy cotton farmers destroying the Murray-Darling and Perrottet with his 42 children can all just get on a boat and go wherever Nintendo takes them.

The Tweed area is cool though... Those people can stay :D

Introducing the Nintendo SandWich. It's shaped like a DS and you can open it up to put your cheese and ham inside.
