You should get a notebook ready to write down clues if you really want to play it without a guide. It's a great experience though.
For the first game it's tough but fair. A lot of the "gotcha" moments early on are there to teach you to know what to expect. It's got a really hard skill curve but once you get used to it and start solving puzzles it's one of the most rewarding games I've ever played. The boss battles are amazing and do the Dark Souls thing of taking multiple takes to kill the boss, where you make progress every time.
Don't think there's much that can be done. Aside from the fact that it would probably need to be ported to a scalable engine, there's a lot of copyright infringement in that game XP
That was sort of out their hands though since Enterbrain killed it. It's not the same with La-Mulana really as it's indie driven.
No sadly. I always thought it could've made a neat 3DS eShop release.
My advice to people is to write down pretty much EVERYTHING.
i love games like that. after doing that with fez and the witness, can't wait to play another game where you need pen and paper.
Once in a while I find a scrap of paper chronicling my descent into madness. I gave up around the 100h mark (according to Steam), looked up a thing in the guide and dropped the game in disgust, hah.
