NIS's "Usotsuki Hime to Moumoku Ouji" confirmed for Switch/PS4/Vita

This was unveiled in NIS' livestream from before. The name apparently translates to The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. Here's a vid:

I'm guessing NIS is done with SRPG's, they're now only making Gothic cute 2D platformers and cute pixel art rogue likes. I'm fine with it tbh. I loved their recent Gothic/cute games.

No. When it was revealed no platforms at all were announced.

Edit: The game has a nice aesthetic which reminds me of GungHo's Dokuro. Look forward to more gameplay being shown.

There really isn't much to judge the game on. Visually it looks interesting, but escort games can get pretty frustrating. Hope it's good.

a couple years ago they started an internal program to find new talent. pretty sure this is one of the new directors they've been betting on since 2014's firefly diary was a surprise hit. yomawari and coven and labyrinth of refrain were the other surprise hits. witch and the hundred knight was also supposed to be a franchise, but it came from an older time back when nis was trying to make huge franchises out of every new ip (guided fate paradox being another in that line).

the original disgaea team no longer exists at nis, so there isn't that back-and-forth between disgaea and then some alternate srpg. the new disgaea team is just focused on disgaea, and those take 3-4 years to make now.
