Nomura and Kitase tease FFVII Remake announcements for 2019

Of course we will see updates and trailers of FFVII Remake in 2019, all the foucs will be shifted to the game after the release of KHIII.

December 31st, 2019: "We are pleased to announce that development on FFVII Remake Episode 1 is progressing smoothly. We estimate the game is 60-65% complete."
There's no change to the team plugging away at FFVII, Osaka (mostly) won't get involved. SE's and Nomura's attention will be focused on FFVII after that though.
That makes it seems like he's talking more marketing than the actual release of the game. Better keep expectations in check. Kingdom Hearts III trailers and marketing started in 2015, 4 years before its actual release.

The team hardly overlaps I think. I am sure KH3 team will be working on DLC stuff for a while.

You really think they will make KH4 right after KH3, not some weird subtitle game? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The bulk of the KH3 team and the current FFVIIr team aren't even located in the same parts of Japan.
They did mention during TGS that there are several ideas for multiplayer stuff and Nomura was looking into it, but it will be worked on after the main game. So yeah I am sure we will get some sort of DLC for it.
They are clearly referring to the long-waited FF7 Crisis Core remaster.
One Piece will wrap up before this remake.
It will very likely eclipse all other video games and it will eventually destroy the video game industry when no one is able to even closely replicate the wonder and success of FFVII Remake. There will be religions created out of this. All the despots of the world will play this and realize their wrongdoings and spend their rest of the lives in the service of others. It will heal our world.
Last time this happened was with Xenogears so its possible for SE to do it again =p
why doubt, its easy to beat original FF7 =D
