Xbox Series X/S can use standard SSDs in the expansion card slot, it’s claimed | VGC

User discovers that other drives can be converted to work in the card’s slot…

Just stumbled upon this on Reddit.

An Xbox user in China claims they were able to use a CFE to NVMe adapter to plug a non-Seagate Expansion Card into the external expansion port in the back. They used a similar SSD model to the one that is installed internally on the Series X, a 1TB Western Digital SN530 m.2 2230, and the console recognized it immediately and gave the user 867 GB of extra storage.

Now, I can't tell if any of this is true and apparently they haven't tested other brands, but this could be big if true.

Expand me with a converter if old.
