I think the conclusion we can draw is that everybody lost. Video games were fun while they lasted.

Microsoft hasn't spoken on them winning bf often. Only a couple times across several years if I recall.
Usually they do what don't does as preemptive dc. They didn't this time, this time Sony did.
Also that Google chart a page or two back doesn't even have the switch on the map.

Or it's likely no one knows yet and need to crunch the numbers, only each company knows how well they did but not the others. Sony did the same last year and still won.
Switches sit dusty and unused on shelves, Sony shipped two consoles to every store to create artificial demand, and kids in Japan are asking what's an Xbox.

There was a poster that works in retail that mentioned Sony didn't send a lot of ps4s. Like they only shipped as many as they were willing to sell for $200

Do you have an example? It's easy to say "Yes they did". Show me any NPD after November 2016 where Sony made a PR statement saying that the PS4 was the best selling console on NPD. I'll retract my skepticism.

We'd be able to compare it to npd 2016 results and see if they line up.
Sony just said that they had the biggest week in Playstation history, they didn't brag about winning anything.

I messed up my wording. So if we go by your logic then the PS4 lost November 2016 NPD right? Sony released the same kind of PR at the same point in time last year, too, but didn't mention winning BF in the US.

Bruh, you are jumping to conclusions based on a Google Trends search. That's like making a works cited page in college and using Wikipedia as your source.
Typical tactic of trying to lazy your way out from being pressed to prove your point. If you can't show your proof, then there's no reason for me to believe what your saying. This is especially true when you shared an image of a map that you don't even know what it's even saying.

I still think we'd have to look back multiple years 2014/15 to see if we can gleam a pattern.
It's been pretty accurate for hardware. I mean well find out shortly of course but I believe it will show it's use once again.
