Best bet we've had all year for the new gaming series being announced.

I'll be very interested to see the prices, even though I'm probably skipping this series.

Most rumors I've read have pointed toward a modest performance improvement, and some said that prices may actually go up due to the currently high stock of the 10 series. Personally, I've felt that the recent crop of games haven't really challenged hardware outside of trying for 4k+60fps. I also think nVidia+AMD have been up against some process limits toward sub-10nm.

Hope nVidia proves me very wrong!

Unless they announce the 1180ti I'm going to hold off. I'm interested in seeing what other tech theyre working on though.

I want two things: any announcement of what's to come with the 1100 series, and some kind of solution to miners buying up every damn video card.

Anyone wanna guess what the "spectacular surprise(s)" are?

1. The first GeForce gaming cards with RTX / ray-tracing tech
2. New Tegra processor announced for consumer market
3. Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo running on the new high-end card
4. Some Nintendo-Nvidia hardware related news (yeah, right!)

Im really hoping the 1170 goes for under $600 else I will regret not picking up a 1080 for $400 a few months ago

Hope EVGA adds a 1180 to the step up program, love my 1070ti but I'll for sure take advantage of it. Hell I'll step up to a 1080ti if the price is right.

Wishful thinking, but I hope they can keep the same MSRP of the 10 series launch for the next one.

970 was such a good deal. Then came the 1070 with a price up and also that bullshit founders edition thing. If they raise the MSRP again my upgrade cycle will be much longer.

Gonna guess

$699 for 1180 founder's edition available Sep 15th
$499 for 1170 founder's edition available Oct 15th

Third party cards start $50 less 2 weeks after.

The card I'm most interested in is the 1160. What kind of price point can we expect on that?

It was. 970 was the better deal vs the 980. It waa $329 and i could overclock it 20-25% and get really close to a stock 980.

The 1080 was probably the better deal in hindsight at least for 1440p. On a 1070 i can only do med settings at 1440p/60.

I have a 1080, so I think I am going to wait for Ti. At first I was all in, but I think I can wait it out for a year or so

I'd sure like to replace my 960, but I'm not looking forward to seeing those prices.

We'll see the benchmarks but I think I'll wait for the Ti this time (I have a 1080)

If they cost 100 bucks more than the 2016 equivalent at release they can fuck right off. (MSRP)

My plan is to get a 1080 Ti next month, skip the new xx80 card and even the xx80 Ti card that probably comes out sometime around June 2019.

I'll upgrade to the first xx80 Ti card that comes out *after* both next-gen consoles have been released--Which will likely be on Nvidia's next GPU architecture and on 7nm or 7nm+

Hoping that we can get a decent 10 series price drop out of this, but it's probably not happening. Still excited to see the tech regardless!

I only just recently put together a PC, and have been holding off on a GPU. Not sure whether it is better to get a 1080Ti if prices go down a bit, or bite the bullet and the 1180 series if the high-end card is around $700. Decisions to make. I also don't know whether to get the 1080Ti and get the 1180Ti years later when the prices and supply normalize after release.
