Computerbase article

Nvidia loses on average 10% performance while AMD loses 2%. results vary by game but destiny 2 is the worst offender at a staggering 20% performance loss for geforce gpus.

the drop off is enough to make the 1080 the clearly slower gpu for HDR gaming

I'm curious if the drop will be as drastic on the 1080 Ti (so inherent to all Nvidia GPUs) or if it only occurs on lower than top of the range models, which have significantly lower raw bandwidth.

Never really try a lot of game in sdr when hdr is available with my 1080 ti. But i remember the benchmark score for FF15 was really low when hdr was enabled ! there were like a minus to 600 700 point.

Sounds like something that can be improved with new drivers. HDR on PC is still in very early stages.
